No but it's heavily rumoured, Arsenal's reserve centre back haha.

United keep signing rival teams reserve players, bit embarrassing that.

to be fair he's a very decent player, and has only ended up as 'reserve' because the other two pair up better together, rather than necessarily being individually better.

probably sounds about the right sort of manager for soton then, ultimately.

A big enough name to get the attention of people (to help in getting decent players), but not so good he's going to get poached after a season.

It'll be interesting to see how they go from here after years of an upward climb followed by some big changes around the club at all levels, but I've got to say I'm worried for them. I don't think the owner's heart will stay in it when they stop progressing (which is probably right now).

FIFA fighting back over the coruption allagations then:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup/10901630/England-World-Cup-2018-bid-team-quizzed-by-Fifa-investigator-Michael-Garcia-over-35000-dinner.html

Its not as bad as other federations I guess and it stinks of FIFA trying to deflect blame away from itself...but it is a bit shity from FA to play the game to a point then complain when someone with more money comes along.

No.

There isn't room to do that. It's the end stand, the Paxton road stand (North end) that will be the only part that is inside the footprint of the planned new stadium.

I.e. Instead of the ground as it is being flanked by Paxton Road, Worcester Avenue, Park Lane, and the High Road, it'll be flanked by Northumberland Park, Worcester Avenue, Paxton Road, and the High Road.

Everything shifts north, the ground orientation will still be in the same direction. The North stand (Paxton Road) will effectively become the south stand. The existing sides and South stand (Park Lane) will become part of the new business/residential park.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
