Believe it or not but tonight's game can have some form of impact as to who wins the league.

If Arsenal slip up they may give Everton a bit more pep in their step against City, as they will play before Arsenals game against West Brom (who are not 100% safe, so may be tough) and would be looking to go ahead of them before the Gunners play next week.

So obviously if Everton are up for the City game and put in a performance, Chelsea or Liverpool could capitalise.

Problem with this is the Gunners will kill Newcastle tonight

you're only saying that cos you hope to do it next year.

Pisstakes aside, from what the papers are saying there seems to have been a bit too much belief within the Utd boardroom in the idea that it's easy to win from 7th. There's stuff going around that Utd are going to appoint someone with a "you will win the league" clause in their contract - which bis laughable.

All paper talk isn't it?

Perhaps, but perhaps it shows the reality of the Glaze3rs desperate financial situation. We don't get to find out quite how desperate they might be for money until it shows itself in a meaningful way.

Fergies not going anywhere so will need someone with experience and a big personality.

either that, or someone who is happy to be undermined by a bunch of self-important has-beens. :P

Haha come on now I'm sure you have been given them lots of stick all season.

Have to say 7th to 1st to win the title has be a fantastic accomplishment, greatest team to win the premier league and all that.

Utd did not do anything outstanding. If anything the game panned out the way it did because Norwich looked as if they couldn't give a fuck and Utd players who didnt give a fuck most of the season suddenly did.

Giggs dropping Mata was strange IMO. Mata showed him how wrong he was on that call when he came on

Aye, a large number of Man United may take a stupid amount of joy in a Liverpool defeat. But that's because they have a large number of supporters in the first place.

Show me a team that doesn't have a comparable amount of idiots among their support, and I'll show you my ten foot wong.

The noble suffering of West Ham fans in recent years hasnt been lauded enough on this forum. I for one support their plight. Arbiters of finesse and all thats "right" about the game being managed by a fucking wildebeast like Samuel. Poor hoors.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
