I can't really rule out Atletico because they don't have a bad record against the other Spanish sides, and I don't think the likes of PSG and Chelsea are a great deal better ( although they're still better IMO ), so the right sort of path could see them win. I still class them as underdogs, but if they went on to win the thing, I wouldn't be overly shocked.

I would go for Real Madrid, Athletico Mardid, PSG and Bayern for the Semis.

Would be a bit special both Madrid clubs getting to the final.

Has there ever been a European cup/champions league final with the teams from the same city? Maybe Inter and AC Milan, perhaps not though.

Just had a look on Wikipedia and it looks like not.

They should put Gibbs in Ox's shirt for the second half. They won't notice anyways.

The ref seemed to be the only one who even knew it was a penalty. He had no idea who handled it though and took ages to make a decision because of that. Not even the assistant could help with a clear view.

Should have done something when Ox made it clear it was him that done it though.

Highly enjoyable game in Cardiff today. The main problem for Liverpool early on was that their midfield was too sloppy and could not get a hold of the game at all. Once Gerrard and Allen started to improve you could see the momentum switch in a BIG way for them. Didn't stop them getting caught on the counter for the second goal though when it was against the balance of play. The defence still has massive question marks over it.

Luis Suarez was the man of the match today as you may well have suspected. He was the one guy before Liverpool came into things that looked really up for it and did some great work, and of course, nabbed a hat trick along the way. Sturridge was woeful most of the game, but he finds them positions and finds them goals. He's a fairly dire decision maker a lot of the time though. Top marks for Gerrard as well.

If that ball hit the net, they were getting humped anyways. Mainly because of the kamikaze way that Arsenal decided to play. As soon as the first goal hit the net, things should have been changed.

I'd have been worried about the half time score being even more brutal than it was if it was 11 v 11.

I think there's too much focus on the penalty incident, the game was already lost. It's another game where arsenal have flopped against a big side either domestically or in Europe. Their record against these teams has been incredibly poor over the last 2 seasons and they have to ask why some mediocre/poor sides look like they can put up a better fight in these games. For all the excitement with ozil, in terms of the league its looking like another 4th place. There may little value in January, but maybe they add to gamble and pay a bit above the odds.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
