i've yet to go to shangri la/block 9/unfairground etc. on the saturday just due to the amount of folk heading to it so based on the number of people and also the line ups the naughty corner in general is the place to be on saturday. hopefully with the better planned late night line up and layout though there will be a lot less in the way of crowds since arcadia is at the other stage now and silver hayes (the dance village) is on til 2am by the looks of it.

Block 9 is my personal favourite in terms of music, but all of them are incredible. The effort that goes into creating the whole back-story to Shangri-La is amazing, but there's loads of little things that just blow your mind in all of them.

Personally I always found Arcadia to be the weakest of them, but always the most packed, so am happy that its been moved.

I enjoyed the unfairground last time, mad structures, bezs acid house and the church of the holy rollers had some brilliant DJs. Loved London underground in block 9 too and the sheer madness of shangri la is always good value. In short, it's all pretty ace

They have also been given the honour of kick starting the festival proceedings on Thursday night! Their show will start at 9.30pm so festival goers are encouraged to arrive nice and early to the sound field and ensure the ultimate Arcadia experience.

Shangri-La is my favourite. The weirdness is so complete that you just mentally and physically get lost in it. However if you're after specific venues then I like the Snake Pit. Never tried NYC Downlow though, maybe this is the year.

Most of the late night areas are completely changing this year, so it's hard to say really. Just see how you're feeling and explore- the chances are you'll stumble into something that grabs your attention no matter what part of the site you're at.

the other year there was this room and on the floor were projections of these sort of computerised bugs. like pac-man type things. you could see the projector in the ceiling making the images on the floor. but you could also stamp on the bugs and actually squish them with you feet. then, after a few seconds, they got up again and carried on walking around the floor.

i watched it for ages and i couldn't work out how it was happening, and nor could anybody else who was in there. it was great fun.

i do not recall what sort of music was playing.

I love Shangri La. It's one of my favourite areas at Glasto and I'm so looking forward to it this year, I can barely contain my excitement! There's just so much going on, I was amazed by it all the first time I went.

I would recommend having a look around the late night areas during the day, maybe that could help you decide where to go later?

I'm definitely going to spend a night in Block 9 this year. I've had a look around and a wander through at night but never went into any of the venues. Same with the common.

The unfairground is great as well..

Why can't Glastonbury last longer?!

i've no idea if that room will return, but i love the night time areas and think it's a shame when people haven't seen the best of it because the music isn't their cup of tea.

i understand why folks just wander through like a tourist for an hour or so cos they're not into being around gurning ravers and dance music, but that's only a part of what's there, and so much of it is so unique and interesting and entertaining that i'd recommend anyone spend a bit of time investigating.
