Sunday Park secret headliner?

whilst i love Hot Chip i'd be slightly underwhelmed if it was them (still stay and watch them, mind)

because this particular secret set is up against the headliners i think they could afford to put a bigger band on as most people wouldn't want to leave their respective headliners on the other stages to risk what could possibly be somebody shit at the Park

MBV would be my ideal realistic one. that would be incredible. really do hope there is an actual secret act and not just an early finish at the Park for whatever reason. definitely gonna head to the Park at some point on the Sunday and ask at the sound desk

just done some additional digging and Alexis-Hot-Chip is currently doing stuff with Fimber Bravo, who also playing at the festival. Which would hint at him also being around.

as i said earlier, go to the Park during the day and ask whoever's on the sound board (pretty sure somebody on here said they did that for Radiohead / Biffy Clyro and the person spilled the beans. would possibly work again this year)

Cat Power would have been ideal, I'm really pissed off. Not too bothered about Hot Chip (or Womack), because they're at Latitude, as is Cat Power, but I'd definitely rather see Cat Power than either of those, every time. MBV is the only possible act that makes the clash worth it for me.

The ideal secret headliner, for me, would be Daft Punk. Not because I want to see them, but it'd draw out the DP fans who'd otherwise pack out the Phoenix crowd in the vague hope that they'll come on as guests!

I'm sure it has been discussed before but even the Radiohead gig I thought was awful. Most people had made a huge effort to get over to the park in awful conditions muck wise. It was drizzling rain, atmosphere was fairly moody. Out come Radiohead blasting exclusively 'The King of Limbs' with a couple of hits thrown in at the end. I could have killed Tom with my bear hands if I'd gotten him after the gig. I've actually quite like 'The King of Limbs' as an album but my god that was not the time or place for it.

Hahaha I feel your pain! I frogmarched abour 10 of my group to that gig, feeling determined as it was pretty much a dead cert that it was gonna be Radiohead, and Thom & Johnny Greenwood's appearance the year before was phenomenal..... we were so far up the hill that all we could hear was the occasional whiney echo, no big Radiohead songs, getting rained on relentlessly, then a kid kicked a pint over and it went all over my back. GUTTED
