whilst i love Hot Chip i'd be slightly underwhelmed if it was them (still stay and watch them, mind)

because this particular secret set is up against the headliners i think they could afford to put a bigger band on as most people wouldn't want to leave their respective headliners on the other stages to risk what could possibly be somebody shit at the Park

MBV would be my ideal realistic one. that would be incredible. really do hope there is an actual secret act and not just an early finish at the Park for whatever reason. definitely gonna head to the Park at some point on the Sunday and ask at the sound desk

So whats being suggested is that Cat Power will finish at 9.45 and then there will be a change round then another band? Cant see it. All the stages seem to be finishing earlier this year

Think its more likely its just going to finish early on the last night and they havent managed to book anyone else.

Yeah it's a significantly earlier finish than the other days/stages which is why it looks suspicious. If they genuinely couldn't get another headliner then Cat Power would be on until 11ish and they'd fit another band in during the day somewhere, and bump everyone up accordingly.

Hot Chip wouldn't look that out of place as an announced Park stage headliner, so it would seem strange and pointless to make them secret.

If there is a secret slot (and I am a little skeptical of this) then it'll either be somebody big or a band that includes somebody people worship (e.g. Atoms for Peace).

The worst thing is if we all walked up there and nobody was on.

yeah tbh the exclusivity thing and nearly all of them being on site does make them seem slightly more likely (i think) - obviously can't be announced as an actual headliner, but... they're there, so why not play?!

tbh i would love it if it was them. obviously i'd hope for somebody bigger / rarer / whatever but if they walked on stage i'd still go mental
