Non-Musicial Acts

Hey

Does anyone have any non-musical acts to recommend between the Wednesday-Sun? Love wandering around and catching the comedy/circus acts etc.

Any suggestions? YouTube vids for bonus points

Katherine Ryan is on my to do watch list, Cabaret tent on Saturday afternoon. Mark Watson too, hopefully just after the Stones finish.

Abandoman, I recall catching some of there freestyle on the radio from edinborough a few years ago, they are kind of musical but it's a stand up show

mundo jazz are playing everyday. get to see them, they are hilarious. they do stand up routines mixed with comical songs.

EDIT: everyday referring to friday - saturday - sunday... there not on weds or thurs

If you can search out Bruce Airhead, he is probably on everyday somewhere in the circus fields.

I won't ruin the act for you - and don't spoil it for yourself by YouTubing it - but he basically climbs into a man-sized balloon in a comical way, set to music, and the finale of the act always blows everyone's minds.

There was a dance act on last year in the theatre Tent. Last one on the Sunday night I believe (no programme on me so don't know the name) Look them up, if they are there go see them. Mind blowingly good. I shall be seeing if I can catch them again

Oh and I see the line up has QI on it. not sure if that is the same as the TV series but could be fun

Bruce air head is amazing, saw him on a kids show on BBC and had to track him down, he was amazing!

My daughter was called up on stage to assist Bruce Airhead once. One of her Glastonbury highlights!

Katherine Ryan was very funny when I saw her in Bristol, so will definitely try and see her again.

The Infinite Monkey Cage were fantastic in 2011, (can't remember which tent - in the circus area somewhere) but the queue was massive to get in, so get there early.

I also recommend the Wookey Hole Circus in the big top. I have been extremely impressed whenever I see them.

Oh - also go and see Phil Jupitus and the improv all stars in the Cabaret tent. Saw them in 2011 and were very funny, but needed a bigger audience to feed off.

Cabaret in Bella's field along from West Holts. Funny about the queue never seen one before as the marquee has at least 6 entrances so if crowded West Holts side go round.

Is woody bop muddy doing his Record graveyard in caberet tent? that is always a highlight, but i dont see him listed.

Sadly Woody is not closing the tent on the Sunday. His act is legendary and I will miss the sound of riccccccccccccccccccce

Andrew Maxwell is doing the honours this year hope he has some surprises!

I enjoy watching dance and this used to be on Blazing Saddles stage which isn't there this year. Does anyone know where the dance acts will be?

The Black Eagles - Great dancing acrobatic-y act! We've stumbled on them a few times at Glasto and other festivals; always entertaining. Think they're late morning in the circus, or maybe it's astrolabe?

Also shame Blazing Saddles has gone - we used to camp in the CV fields and would always enter via Gate C each day and sit in front of this stage with a good breakfast and a cup of tea!
