(Not that I care. Just for the sake of it...)

How do you know this Matt?

emailing contact, someone who's recently emailed a few things of note. However with szgiet announcing this made me pretty certain he's telling the truth.

He also gave me a handful of other acts, although they do sound like V regulars.

Care to share?

Calvin Harris, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental, Chase & Status, McBusted, Bastille was the list he gave me.

I know... sounds very V which makes me think it's just educated guesses on who is likely to be there.

But it looks like Bastille are very likely due to recent tour dates, can't see reading getting them again either unless they really want to take all of V's acts.

So why do you constantly spew out nonsense if you have so many line up secrets in your inbox?

Because I haven't had anything in there with any weight, I thought I wouldn't even bother throwing it out due to how everything else goes down.

But I posted Bastille because... well... yeah would you be surprised if it didn't happen?

Actually yeah, you'd be shouted down immediately if you said what you'd heard in most sections. So fair enough.

Those are pretty standard V acts yeah, a bit too obvious though. You could probably get an email off your aunt saying those were playing V. :P

which is why i've stated that they are probably standard V acts.

I think that's clear though that this year, V will have V acts that you can smell a mile off!

If Calvin Harris one of the names you were emailed where would he play? Headline 4music again and V Possibly miss out on Avicii or so what IOW are doing and have him headline main with someone else under him ie Kasabian. I would be suprised if Calvin was announced

I'm stunned they play V at all, surely made for R&L. Although then again maybe Not Nineteen Forever wouldn't go down well in Leeds so maybe not ;):P

Agreed I dont think Courteeners will be at V again, I could see them at R&L or Latitude maybe subbing TDCC

    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
