It's hard to understand how one person can spout so much shite in such few characters

Boo hoo.

I take it you're only talking about blink here?

Yes. Don't mind Eminem, Muse, the Foo's - although then again none of them have done much good recently either..

Actually they said a few months ago they wanted to collect names of people who'd gone to V last year to 'credit them in something cool coming up'. Probably a video of highlights from last year with a whole bunch of attendees' names on it in a montage if it's anything to do with that.

Yeah sounds like it."(Clue is in the YOU!)".

Hope there's some other information to be said.

I seem to remember V saying a while ago they had something HOT lined up for this year or something along those lines. Maybe they are moving it to Ibiza instead of England. Wish I could have contributed to the convo in the last few pages but I was busy. I think V could announce the time for the line up announcement and think that it is enough to keep people happy, when all other major fests have at least one headliner. As much as I like V and will be going again this year, they do have a shockingly bad team arranging times to do things.

Doubt it will be 3 days but I would like it to happen.

The YOU part from what V have said makes me think it could be something for people following the page, people that went last year or a competition for one of YOU to win

Laura Mvula, Clean Bandit and London Grammar announced for Bestival yesterday - possibles for V?

Would like to see Laura Mvula again, she was one of my highlights last year. Seeing Clean Bandit in May already and at Wireless so not fussed about them but they'd suit V's 'one song booking' mantra (despite how Mozart's House is still a far better song than Rather Be but anyway). London Grammar I'd have thought would be one of R&L's 'trendy' acts this year, coming to V next year when nobody cares anymore, but as they haven't been announced there yet there's a possibility not.

All London Grammar's songs do seem a bit slow. Don't really fit into V's party spirit so would be no real loss to V if they weren't there. Think Nina Nesbitt is a V certainty if she's around this summer. OMAM were one of the ones R&L-goers were up in arms about not getting last year, along with Everything Everything, Eels and Two Door. Almost certain all of those four will be at R&L this time.

    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
