Why do so many people think Calvin will headline again...I can't see it, been there something like 5 of the last 7 years or something ridiculous like that? Great act, will pull a big crowd, but he headlined last year...

If Jay Z and JT headline then I'm giving it a miss for the first time in 7 years...couldn't care less about either of them...if they get Kasabian/Chase and Status then I may reconsider but for the money I pay...you can get so much more for it elsewhere...as and Essex lad, it is convenient but as every year passes it loses its appeal acts wise.

I can see something like this

Justin Timberlake/Jay Z

Chase and Status

Example

The Prodigy

Elbow

Avicii

That wouldn't be so bad to be fair. Think Example would be more likely to be opposite Prodigy than Hova though. Also I swear to god 'The Legends of Summer' was only a one-year thing, have they reinstated it now given how many people are suggesting JT and Hova sticking together :S

I've still got a really random inkling based on nothing whatsoever that V might have the Foos. Really surprised Glasto haven't got them given they haven't played there since like Bible times, the only reason I can think of is that they're exclusives somewhere else?

Chase And Status doing Sundown on the 30th.

Highly reckon they will take a sub spot this year

Would they rather headline second stage or sub main? I think thats there only 2 options, wouldnt take anything lower.

I think the Foos will wait until next year to hit the UK.

They could wait, but would they get much more money for waiting an extra year? Create more demand for them but Coldplay and Muse will be in the mix as well presumably, so this year they have less competition for being the biggest name at a festival

Personally i'd say a sub is what they'd probably be booked for, I don't know what it is, but they always seem to fit underneath a huge headliner.

It's not about waiting for more money. It's the higher demand that will come with the new album when it's released.

Pretty much any major festival would be happy to have them and would probably sell out anyway. New album or not they have a big demand anyway

Are we any closer to knowing when the new stuff is due? It was this time last year when Dave announced at the Brit Awards that he was heading right off to the States to work on the new album so it surely can't be still more than six months away..

well they said at the end of the year they'll "begin recording soon" and supposedly recording in 10+ countries, and they posted the picture of the master tapes a few weeks ago. I imagine they're finishing recording now. It'll probably end up coming out late summer time.

If they were wanting to really focus on promoting the new album, wouldnt Glasto be a better platform to do that? Could anyone see them being saturday night headliner? Wouldnt think it would fit in with older act that they are after but it could happen...Maybe next year?

would surely be perfect for R&L if they hadn't headlined there on the last album then

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
