Yup. Just because I think Foos are a GOOD pop band doesn't stop them being a pop band.

Although being on radio 1 at times doesn't define a band as a pop band. I once heard MBV on Radio 1, and they're definitely not pop.

Nah, I was *shock horror* not on efests.

I think Green Day are a good booking for the fest, I still think they're a shitty whiny pop band who have been irrelevant for 5+ years.

So by your definition, can rock bands not be pop or commercial at all?

Also, you said it yourself. Irrelevant. What does that even mean? Not cool? Not currently popular? Who gives a shit? If a band has good tunes and a cool style to music, it's good, and obviously enough people think that about green day for FR to give them a headliner slot

Can't really complain at 21 acts, just a shame today's announcement didn't add one main stage act I want to see, or anything early on in the day really. Still got loads to check out on the lineup, though, lots of which seems to be my kind of thing judging by what I've read on here.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.

    • Alright fair, I thought she only did BST once. Though I do question how that type of pop show will translate to a stadium.
