Well the deed is done,i have just got of phone with Seetickets getting a ticket refund for myself and two others. I have had many good Glastonbury festivals in the past and a few bad ones, but i think at 65 its time to call it a day. two others in our group have had a change of plan and won't be able to go, so its down to the remaining two now. Best of luck to all trying in the resale on Sunday. Thanks for the goodtimes Glastonbury : )

Glastonbury next year...I think not,my love affair with Glastonbury is over now. Its been good to me most of the time, but all good things come to an end,

and reaching 65 the week before I no longer have any enthusiasm. I did think buying a ticket would help. Unfortunately the line up did not help, its OK but not very inspiring. So rather than wasting £450 / 500 including spends I asked for a refund and hope my ticket goes to someone who will enjoy it. Best of luck to all on Sundays ticket sale :-)

This would have been my sixth, not many I know,I was never really interested until I moved down to Somerset some fourteen years back and went on a local Sunday ticket, after that I was hooked, and tried every year for full tickets, some years it was successful, others not. I only ever did it for the music, had no interest in the weird stuff, best ever do me was the Neil Young year, worst was 2011 when I was really ill, hardly saw anyone, had to go home on the Friday night, mind you it was a very muddy year. I hope your gran gets my ticket. I will miss it I know, not giving up on festivals though, thinking of doing Beautiful Days, its only 20 mins from my house, much smaller, less push and shove, and I could travel daily.

Enjoy your retirement mate! You live in a beautiful part of the world and got time on your side to discover new things to enjoy :-)

For me it was the best and worst time ever, best because it was a dream to go, see bands which I have never seen live, do something without my hubby/kids, but the mud was awful, rain killed the mood, and I totally under estimated how physical it was carrying all my gear with that walking in the mud and how tired I would be. I hope it was a "bad" year and that I will enjoy a better one,I hope you do too :)

That's a hard decision Denwyn but only you know really how the festival affects you. Will you do something else that weekend, or stay glued to the Telly? Hope you enjoy your weekend whatever you choose to do

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
