Still raining in Shepton Mallet but it's a bit 'half-hearted'. Much less than it was. I've just spoken to my wife who's on-site and she says the ground is holding up well. She''s still wearing her trainers.

It has been raining on site constantly for four hours and shows no sign of letting up, so you are all wrong. If you want to know what the weather is going to do look at the sky because all of the predictions that gave been posted on here are wrong!

Mr.Radar doesn't look too handsome just now but then again it's not really the 'serious' rain as was predicted earlier in the week it would appear ... although as we all know only too well, any similarity between what it says on the chart and what it actually does on the Glasto-ground may be somewhat coincidental of course !

Glasto currently enjoying a nice shade of pale blue precipitation it would seem although watch out for it potentially turning a more greeny-yellow over the next couple of hours :P

Thanks to everyone who is on site for the updates. Just watched bbc west weather and they say it will stop later this evening then maybe a bit of rain in the am then that will be it for the weekend. Dry and even sunny after that.

I am taking wellies but I would like to wear my trainers so really appreciate the mud reports.

Hope you are having fun! I cannot wait to be there tomorrow

And I am obviously not there but I would be amazed if it ended up like 2011. There was torrential rain all Friday and mud until Sunday afternoon plus it had been raining non stop for weeks before. A bit of rain on Thursday and a very dry may and June doesn't equate to that at all as far as I can see (though to be fair that is only my parents garden not the site).

Don't say I didn't warn you about the greeny-yellow precipitation coming to field near you sometime fairly soon :P It's not too bad tho is it ? I can't seem to get an shiny new update from Mr.Radar at the mo :( but something will hopefully appear below fairly shortly. I think it looks like going relatively clear or at least back to pale blue afterwards ... maybe

Hoping the rain being on thursday means most of the main stages avoid the worst churning. Walked past West Holts a while back and at least the field was deserted. Fingers crossed the rain disappears tonight and it dries up tout suite!

Still pissing down here in Glasto Town. Looking west I'd say it will stay like this for at least another hour. Can't see Brent Knoll through the clouds/rain. On the bright side tomorrow is forcast to be a bit windy so that should dry things off :-)

Unpleasant colours and amounts of precipitation various virtually all over bar the shouting now and still looking mostly clear(ish) to follow. Now that wasn't too bad for a Glasto was it and it hardly constituted the need to think about 2005/7/11 ! Enjoy muchly :)

Can anyone explain to me the bizzare difference in Glasto and Pilton forecasts on the BBC site. They give heavy rain all day tomorrow whereas Glastonbury is generally dry with sunshine in afternoon. Does Pilton has its own microclimate?
