Eavis has gone German!

What he described as "even better" than having the veteran rockers performing at his Worthy Farm site was the expected appearance of another festival rarity - the sun. "We're particularly excited because the forecast is fantastic from Tuesday," said Mr Eavis. "It's going to be a mini heatwave, can you believe it? I'm thrilled."

I wouldnt say that it was sexism at all...there was no descriminating comments based upon the fact she is a female, simply a compliment that being in great shape she is likely to have a fine posterior.

I fail to see how sexism comes in to it. Internet over-sensitivity strikes again.

Go knows how people survive the real world

^^^^ This

Some of the people on these boards take being sanctimonious and politically correct to a whole new level!

Totally agree, how DO they survive in the real world. They wouldnt last 5 minutes in the world I live in.

I reckon they must either work for the civil service , or the BBC

The point that was being made was that this is a thing that has got out of control before, so clearly not all of us can be trusted to manage ourselves and not a direct comment on the severity of anything said here, just "let's not walk down that path again, it won't end well" is the sentiment.

At least that's how I read it.

Either way we aren't talking about the weather, which we should be, because it's going to be a classic year ladies and gents, about that there is no mistake.

.

Read this amazing article and shut up about sexism.

Surely something is only sexist if it is deemed to be by the sex being spoken about? I don't find it sexist or offensive, but I find people jumping to the defence of all woman kind very tedious.

So what about this mini heat wave eavis talks about? Can we verify this?

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
