Very good for the start of the festival - but we still in the balance for the weekend and that seems it could go either way. Fingers crossed we get another improvement on that tomorrow.

Out of curiosity, 2011 was my first, and while u2 friday was bad, I didn't think it was too bad. Where does 2011 fall on the overall scale of shit?

Not as shit as 97/98 or 2007. 2005 is an interesting one as it was apparently OK once the disastrous flood got out of the way. I think last year would be on a par with 2004, if it wasn't for the dispiriting nature of dragging your kit on site through torrential rain and mudslides, which made it worse.

Thats good, so seems 2011 was pretty bad but apart from the under foot conditions I didn't feel too put out. That makes me feel goid about this years forecasts so far!
