To be fair Russy, most of those points are still valid. Without the concept of innocent until proven guilty, we're fucked as a society. (Even more so than we already are).

There's a big long list of laws, introduced in the last 15-ish years, which do not operate on the "innocent until proven guilty" basis. These laws are from the low-level mundane to treason-level.

However I would say that these are classed as exceptions to the law, as opposed to the law being "prove yourself innocent" except for these laws.

they might be exceptions within the whole of the statute book, but they're becoming increasingly common with newly passed laws.

Yet another is now under consideration, of banning suspected (just suspected, with no convictions) sex offenders from certain locations. While in itself it sounds sensible enough (after all, who wants their kid molested?), it's essentially convicting someone when there's no evidence with which to convict them.

But hey, if you've done nothing wrong you've nothing to fear, right?
