I'm at the HI Express too Semp', with the 2nd tier bands. I've spotted "the bar on the corner" Google streetview so we will be in there tomorrow night for a Duvel or two

The bar is so easy to find, just come out of the hotel, turn left and it's the first one you come to. I'm sure we'll bump into each other at some point tomorrow night!

Not looking good re: the Friday headliner. PP just replied to a tweet reiterating that it's been difficult to find a replacement and they're still trying.

Thing is for them, apart from losing a bit of face, they're not obliged to get someone else in, especially with the tickets already being sold out again.

This is worse than transfer deadline day.

I simply can't see it being as difficult as they are making out. Surely the number of bands that are free on a Friday mid Festival Season is fairly limited, discount non headline material, offer them money, rinse, repeat.Can't be that many booking agents handling the big bands can there?

Pukkelpop organizers profit will be 500.000 higher than expected in their business plan. NY cancelation has been perfect for them. Congratulations to them!!!

im sure bands would be up for it but it means having to get all of your crew and equiment together and fly them to a country which has not been planned for ... thats probably the sticking point ...

the XX were probaly dirt cheap as well ... probably blew all the money on Nine inch nails and Eminem

From a logistics point of view, surely Editors would be the easiest. I'm not hopeful now though, just can't see them pulling anything special out of the bag at this juncture. Disappointing really.

It could be the gin but I'm feeling mildly optimistic that they have some one, think they would have thrown in the towel by now if they didn't. Gutted that I'm not setting off tomorrow for pre festival good times, don't break Hasselt until I get ther please.

it really is. I am starting to think they haven't a clue what to do and as such are doing nowt.

I'm sure people would be placated a little if they said something along the lines of "talking to two bands", "trying to do a deal with a band, will update" and the like, even if it's just false hope. Once you are there you won't give a damn, they could at least string us along.

Balls to it, we're heading here tomorrow, see you all there!
