question:

as I said I never been to a festival but I did see in some videos from different festivals in Europe that the front rows are for vip tickets or limited to number of people so I want to ask if there is such thing like that in PP

I mean if there is any kind of vip/gold circle tickets or that with the standard ticket I can get to the front rows (in theory..)? also I want to know about the smaller stages if there is any limit to number of people that can get in or that all stages are big enough?

tnx

Last year was the first time that in Pukkelpop there was a reserved ring in front of the Main Stage. But no need to have a VIP ticket to get in, just first come, first serves... for me it was a pain in the ass... but you can see really good the concerts in the main stage if you arrive 10 minutes before the show begins.

In the other stages you won¡t have problems to get in. The only exception is Marquee Stage. Sometimes there are big bands that play in that stage and people have to attend the concert from a Screen outside the stage. I remember last year Of Monsters And Men and Goose as the most overcrowed shows in this stage. If you arrive 10 minutes before the concert start you can be close to the artists in every stage

Edit: I am really surprised that the stage splits are not avaliable yet. 202 bands already announced (last year there were 209 at he end) and only 49 days to go. I need this split to realize which bands will be imposible to attend.

Quick question, bought 4 combi-tickets. One person has dropped out but been replaced so they'll have a ticket with someone else's name on it.

Will this matter? Never been asked for ID or anything at other European festivals but thought I'd better check.

(They are the same gender and similar age)

It was a golden circle style area sectioned off right at the very front. We were there for the Roses. We went to get a drink (during fools gold of course) and the security wouldn't let us back in it during the set which pissed us off no end as it was half empty and the other half of our group (who we'd brought drinks for as well) were in there. Even offered the security guy 50 euro to let us past but the miserable twat wasnt having any of it.

GY!BE, Miles Kane and Johnny Marr all in the Marquee. Phew - I was a bit worried about potential clashes there...

Now have to hope the times don't clash with Parov Stelar in the Dance Hall and Bombino in the Club. (And Allah-Las and Savages, but I did see both of them last Saturday...)

hope to see Slayer after Eminem

and that there won't be a clash between Killswitch Engage and The Prodigy and Skunk Anansie with Frank Turner

the main stage on Friday and the shelter on Saturday are amazing!

Just had my first look at it all and there's definitely a few curve balls I didn't see coming. Thursday is pretty much as I expected, with the Dance Hall looking like my favoured venue for much of the day. The Castello on Friday has an amazing line up, doubt I'll be venturing far from that corner of the site all day/night as there's a few in the Dance Hall and Boiler I want to catch too. Didn't see Paul Kalkbrenner closing the Marquee coming and I'll definitely be making a rare excursion into the Shelter on Saturday for Don Broco. Castello line up is again tremendous; the run of DJs from Oneman to Jamie XX is just inspired and it'll be very difficult to drag myself away. Loving the fact Maya Jane Coles and Julio Bashmore will be spinning in there, they seem to be carving that stage into a real niche of cutting edge music. Bit gutted Foals are on the Main but I feel like that about everyone except the Prodigy!!

Seeing everyone placed in their respective stages on the line up has really put into perspective just how many difficult decisions I'll have to make over the weekend. I've been trying to marry up last years timetable against the running order for this year (granted they won't be exactly the same) and it's already throwing up some worrying clashes. For some reason there's no link in the 'History' section of the website to last year but if anyone is interested here it is:

amfest12 - no chance of Skunk Anansie and Frank Turner clashing - former will be on around 5pm and latter about 12.30pm. Don't think you'll be so lucky with The Prodigy and Killswitch Engage though.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
