Question for the old timers out there.

Went last year but came home the next day, organising travel and looking to leave after xx(woo hoo). We leave after the last band at werchter to leuven for the first train to brussels, Do the shuttle buses run late into the night at pukkelpop or start sunday morning?

The last shuttle bus into Hasselt usually leaves around 15 mins after the last band finishes each day (2am Thu & Fri, 1am Sat).

After the Saturday bands finish, Belgian railways also usually runs special trains to various parts of Belgium (including Brussels obviously) that leave direct from Kiewit station, 10 mins walk from the festival site. I think they go around 1.45am.

2 questions

*where can i check when there will be bus or train back to Brussels

on the night between the 17th and the 18th?

maybe I'll need to be at the airport around 6-7..

* the food & drinks voucher can be transfer?

i mean if i want to buy in advance 20 tokens could other people use it?

thanks

Glad to see Kendrick on the bill, I'll definitely be checking him out.

If you look at past line ups there's always a little bit of overlap between RW and PP, although it tends to be smaller bands. Having said that, a few years ago Placebo headlined PP and were about 4th down the Main Stage bill at RW. The fact that the two festivals are 6 weeks apart means that they're not in direct competition like Reading and V, who don't tend to share any bands at all. The PP organisers actually said that the RW people were very supportive in the aftermath of the storm and, contrary to what some people believe, the two festivals have a pretty good working relationship.

Just working through some of the bands now, I like loads of them but I'm looking for something for the Mrs. She's not thrilled with the metal bands and the techno so was wondering if anyone can suggest something from the bands that have already come out. She likes a bit of soul, funk and the like and your big Killers/Snow Patrol like sing-along's

I know Eli Paperboy Reed, Fitz and the Tantrums have played in the past, so stuff like that so I can get her a list of bands to check out (she likes Alabama Shakes so there's one for the list!)

Cheers all

Source: http://www.hbvl.be/nieuws/media-en-cultuur/aid1364554/pukkelpop-strikt-hiphopbelofte-kendrick-lamar.aspx

They say that they have to wait until 22th april because of one name that can't be announced before... any suggestion??... I would love Kraftwerk for closing the festival!!!

Hey there, just joined up to this, I more or less check up the efests forums pages all the time so I thought I would join seeing I am doing Pukkelpop again this year (also ill fated 2011).

Can't wait to return I think the line up is shaping damn well up...

Kraftwerk would be brilliant to close the festival indeed, also hoping for Flying Lotus after he backed out last year. But I do know he is playing Dour so unlikely?

Attending my first pukkelpop this year and can't wait, road tripping it from north west England and doing a little European tour on the way.

Looking forward to hearing the prodigys new material again, heard it first at the end of last year at warriors dance festival in Serbia.

I've been through all the archive material and it has answered all my questions about pukkelpop apart from one.How far is campsite a from the car parks ??

Thanks to Semprini for all the info he has supplied about pukkelpop over the years,it has been invaluable.

I wish they would hurry up and announce more acts,it said after the first announcement the next one would be sooner than you think, well we are waiting pukkelpop !!!!!!!!!!!

Are we expecting one last headliner?

On the pukkelpop poster it has Eminem and NIN, Neil Young and Prodigy in big lettering and only XX in big letters for the saturday.

If so whos your bets on, im going for a curveball and RHCP announcing european dates after coachella.

    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
