I actually like the US Title Open idea. Cena has been having great matches week in week out, bringing even more prestige back to a title that was totally irrelevant before Rusev won it. The only thing that irritates me is the exact same spiel he churns out every week, "(insert city name) is the place to be, and John Cena is the man to beat" etc.

those are the bits i mean, matches are okay.

Okay I haven't seen WWE since extreme rules, can someone give me a brief run down as to the direction things have taken since so I don't need to watch too much.

Also how long ago was payback? was it any good? is it worth my time?

Have TNA been mugged off completely by Destination America?

The channel has just announced Ring Of Honor starts next month.

EDIT From Weds 3rd June, will be ROH followed by TNA every week. Hmmm. Something's gotta give. I wouldn't be happy if I was Dixie, not happy AT ALL.

Lesnars return is pretty much confirmed now, looks like the few Raw's leading up to Battleground, the PPV and the raw afterwards with a Japanese house show in there too (but that wont be anything special). Id like to think Lesnar comes in and destroys Rollins, but then if Lesnar took the title it would be back to Lesnar not being on TV each week with the title. Interesting to see how the authority work bringing Lesnar back into the storylines.

I saw Kevin Owens (Steen) a few times on youtube from indy shows, and like him as a character now on Raw. As he is moving up to Raw full time, he will presumably drop the NXT title after destroying Sami Zayn. Samoa Joe seems the logical person to beat him when they face each other. I dont watch NXT but I saw little bits from the past few weeks, so I dont know who else the title could go to thats been there a bit longer than Joe. Could be disheartening to NXT talent if Joe walks in and takes the title in his first month or so

Owens has now apparently signed a main roster contract, according to multiple online sources.

They teased it last week, but I'd love to see a scenario where The Authority turn on Seth Rollins, and replace him with KO, thus turning Seth face in the process and leading to a feud with Triple H.

Or The Authority turning on Seth and turning face, leaving a heel Seth with the title?

WWE needs top heels and I cant see them turning arguably their best heel. Lesnar coming back would fit with a face turn from HHH. Maybe HHH and Steph could even have a disagreement, with HHH taking Seths side and Steph wanting to prove she is right and bring Lesnar back. An authority split, and so end to them being on TV ever week, might do the angle some good.

That was a DAMN good PPV last night, really good stuff, the IC chamber match was pretty cack though, lost all its momentum with the Sheamus stook in the pod thing, Tag chamber was good stuff. Main event was great.

Onto MITB, rematch between Cena and Owens? I had enough last night, don't drag Owens down with Cena's boring matches and the MITB match? Kofi in it? Why? spot monkey, he's never gunna win. Neville in it already? Been on the roster 5 mins. I thought MITB was about people who had been around a while and never got a shot at the title. That rings true with Kofi but he's in the tag scene. Orton? He's had the title multiple times!!!

Awesome PPV overall. I honestly can't believe they had Owens go over Cena clean! Great, great match and the outcome shows that they must be really high on Owens behind the scenes (and rightly so).

Main event was great, I legit marked out when Ambrose pinned Rollins, that was a real feel good moment, until the DQ foolery :P

Enjoyed the majority of EC. However now every man and his dog can see NXT's top stars are on a 'par' with WWE's I hope it gets a little more recognition and popularity. Also after last night I forgot how good tag team wrestling can be in the WWE. Push people who have little to do into Tag Teams e.g Orton & Rhodes and sign a few more good teams. Bad Influence, reDragon and Young Bucks would be awesome at some point in the future.

The tag match was good, as it gave some of the other teams some exposure, both accension and Prime time players looked better than i can remember. Cesaro looked a bit of a chump being pinned the way he is, but I think in gneral he has beenfited from being in the tag ranks.

As for Owens V Cena, I couldnt disagree more. Cena has been cnocsistently as good as anyone over the last year and can more than hold his own with Kevin Owens. If you ask Owens whether he wants to continue working with Cena or move to someone with a little more indie credability, I think i know what he will say!

The trouble with the WWE network is when Ambrose wins and you see 5 minutes left on the clock, you know that something is about to happen!

The NXT talent may be able to go toe to toe with the top stars of the main roster in a one off wrestling match, but there is far more to being a top level WWE superstar. Can they deliver on the mic in a long term feud, can they continue to keep the crowd interested when the original buzz has worn off, do they have the adaptability to work with different people and also the attiude to not sulk when they are on the backburner.

Regarding the tag team division the concern is that the tag division is also the weakest part of NXT. Only Enzo/Cass have any potential in my view.

They're on par wrestling wise. Or even beyond. Most aren't close on other important aspects though. I'd name two who are. Owens and Zayn. Think Breeze is close though.

Owens looks the most likely to reac the top. I see Zayn as a Shelton Benjamin/John Morrison level star, which is far more than most achieve, but I think he lacks the x factor.

Although its important to recognize that being in WWE is not all about the wrestling. I think your right that many are close in terms of wresling, but not in other ways. However some have different attributes. I look at the trio of Enzo/Cass and carmella who arent ever going to have 5* matches. However they have great chemistry and are over with the crowd. I think theres room on the card for entertainment as well as wrestling and looking back at my favourite years 1997- 2001 there were many acts who got over without being mopre than average in the ring.

Of course the womans division is very different and the top 4 or 5 could move over with no problems. Both in terms of wrestling talent and entertainment value.

Rollins vs. Ambrose in a ladder match is going to be off the chain.

The roster is on the verge of something special, I honestly think so. Samoa Joe has reportedly signed a full time WWE contract after impressing Vince & Triple H. Neville and Owens have come through tremendously. Zayn and Balor are still to come up. You've got The Shield guys, Rusev (who is the total package in my eyes). Not to mention the NXT women. The tag division looks in good shape again after Elimination Chamber. The New Day are doing a great job at being obnoxious heels, and The Prime Time Players are a pair I really like so much more this time around.

I think that WWE could be on the cusp of a great era.

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
