Devitt's WWE ring name is Finn Balor.......

W....T.....F

What an AWFUL ordinary name. Why must WWE try and make people sound like John Smith on the street.

''We must have the copyright of everyones name so when they leave they're screwed!'' theory should really have stopped when WCW died, if TNA is really no competition, whats the problem? Just let wrestlers keep their name. Didn't stop Dudleys being successful afterwards.

I don't understand this either. Why change an internationally known, easily chantable name like Kenta into Hideo Itami? And Prince Devitt has a way better ring to it than Finn Balor. It just sounds like a local jobbers name. What will they rename Kevin Steen?

Looks like Stone Cold may be coming back for WM32. In his podcast with Ric Drasin "I'm trying to get back into shape for a comeback."

I hope this happens. He looks in brilliant shape as it is. If Austin is going to have one last match, I think they need to give Mr. Phillip Brooks a call :ninja:

I've just seen it, same response. It has to be too good to ever come true.

If the offer of main eventing the biggest Wrestlemania of all time against Stone Cold Steve Austin in his return/final match doesn't tempt Punk back, then I don't know what will.

If they can't get Punk, then I'd like to see Stone Cold vs. The Rock one last time in a double retirement match. Imagine how many people would want to see that. WM19 is my favourite match of all time.

Cant see Punk ever coming back. Too many concussions.

Whos your all time favourite?

My all time favourite is The Rock. Been watching WWE since 2000 and he was always my fave. Stopped watching in 2007 and the only reason I started again in 2011 was because The Rock had returned :P

1. The Rock

2. Shawn Michaels

3. CM Punk

4. Triple H

5. Edge

That's my top 5 :)

Aha. So you missed the vintage Austin years! By a mile the most entertaining wrestler ever.

I've been watching since WM3! On and off. With a pretty heavy obsession during the Attitude era.

Austin

HBK

Hogan

Roddy Piper

Ric Flair

Something like that.

Edit - oops forgot about Jake The Snake!

Oh I've watched all of the attitude era over the years, I've seen all of Austin's best moments :) seeing it during that actual time period though must have been gold, same as the Money Night War. My favourite era is from 2002-2004 personally, as it's one I watched at the time. That roster was LOADED :)

What's your favourite match ever? Mine's Rock vs. Austin @ WM19. I was just mesmerized at the story telling in the build up. Incidentally, WM19 is my favourite Mania too.

What's your favourite match ever?

Christ theres loads! Ill stick to Wrestlemanias.

HBK/Taker WM25.

Austin/Bret Hart WM13.

Hogan/Warrior WM6. (although looking back it was fairly crap).

HBK/Bret WM12

Macho Man vs Flair WM8.

Macho Man/Steamboat WM3

And 2-3 or the TLC matches. They were so entertaining.

Went through a WCW phase in the mid/late 90s. If you have 15 mins to spare watch this match. Absolute perfection.

WCW had the strongest mid cad ever around this time. Guerrero, Mysterio, Jericho, Benoit, Malenko, Kidman etc. Unmissable.

Not been on here in a while but yeah I watched Night of Champions and it was God awful. Jericho and Orton easily had the best match. I enjoyed a bit of the tag matches too. The way the WWE is right now is shocking I'm finding it really hard to watch and enjoy.

Yet I have now been to two ICW shows and got my next ticket for Fear and Loathing at the Barrowlands and I can't wait for it the talent are bloody great, the stories are amazing. Can't wait for the ICW On Demand in November too the company is really going somewhere special in the UK.

As for top 5 wrester's I'd go with -

1. Bret Hart

2. Shawn Michael's

3. The Rock

4. Sting

5. Stone Cold Steve Austin

I kept it strictly WWE if i was to add in wrestlers from ICW i'd be putting Grado, Joe Hendry, Jack Jester and Chris Renfrew in there. First memory of wrestling would be from around late 1999/2000 when I would have been around 4/5 haha.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
