Hasn't RdB already said that this year he has concentrated less on the headliners in favour of a really strong main stage/big top line up? Would make that Snoop booking more reasonable?

At this risk of sounding too much like the Glastonbury thread Bestival is very much about more than the main stage, would be happy with Suede though to be fair

im surprised there is still demand to see chase & status.

as far as im aware they haven't released anything since around 2010 and have played at pretty much every festival apart from bestival since them.

really hope it isn't them.

In reality I can see it being one of the following:

Portishead: Doing Euro festivals, never played. Perfect fit for the festival

Vampire Weekend: Touring the new album & they're not at R&L which surprised a lot of people

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds: Whored out all over European festivals, but no UK festival shows

Chase & Status: Subbing R&L (Like Florence did last year) & they fit the description of a newer/dance headliner

Outside chances:

Prince: He's doing Euro festivals in August, doesn't like to confirm shows until nearer to the time & imagine the press coverage it'd get after he's been rumoured for Glasto for so long.

The Strokes: New album coming out, nothing in the way of a tour yet but I can't imagine their production costs to be too much to consider doing a one off show?

Pulp:Does anyone really know what's going on here? Are they finished? Are they recording a new album? Hopefully RDB has coaxed them into doing a one off show.

Mumford & Sons: Doing T & Glasto but not exclusive. Massive at the moment & could be the last show of their summer run
