What baffles me is that Green Day can announce a secret show in America and charge $20 on the doors. They come over here, announce a secret show and its going to set people £50 out of pocket! I paid less to see them at Wembley Stadium!! Scandalous

Not that I'm doing a fan boy defending but they have to pay for the roadies, hotels, flights ect unlike LA and when they play something like Wembley they can cover that cost over tens of thousands of tixs rather than the 1.5k capacity that Sheaprds Bush is.

....of course Leeds has a more accommodating license. But to be honest as a 28 year old guy who's not as young as I used to be, I'd rather get earlier nights and watch Greenday then watch DJs until the early hours and have Kasabian close my weekend.

I know there playing rock en seine but could of fit into there schedule.

The official site says that Foos will be on at 20:30 at Reading and Leeds. Reading bands finish at half 11, and at 11 at Leeds.

So Foos will be on for 3 hours at Reading and 2 and a half at Leeds? Surely that's going to be a record, the longest set ever played in the history of the festival?

The Cure seem to be getting 2 and a half hours at both festivals as well, and Kasabian are on for longer than the usual hour and a half.

I think Foo's will of requested a long set time so they can make the show special, The Cure will obviously have requested one and Kasabian are probably extented due to the shear length of the other two. Definitely different but could well create some more legendary sets for the festival!
