+1 on that , though not one to come on here and slag bands off, everyone to their own taste and all that, i do find them tediously boring.

I've got my iPod on shuffle on my speakers at the moment and Banquet by Bloc Party just kicked in. God I hope they play. Used to be obsessed with them during their first/second albums, still put on a relatively good show.

The last record " Four" is just as good as the others. I made a compliation CD with abour 6 songs from each, a cracking listen. I hope they play as well.

True, as a whole piece its really very good. Stuff like " Hunting for witches ", " Helicoptor " just to mention two of them are still crown pleasers and i reckon they would put on a really good show, better than the 2009 Other stage headline performance. They seem to have come back from their hietus with added vigor.

I really liked most of Intimacy too to be honest, but wasn't much for Four. It sounded better live than it does on record for me.

Four sounded like a band trying too hard to me. Intimacy wasn't the best but i appreciated the fact that they were experimenting with their sound. absolutely hated Mercury when it was first released but really grew to love it after seeing it live. A Weekend In The City had it's moments but was pretty dull in places, and Silent Alarm is, as we all know, fantastic

Bloc Party is my favorite band of all these 00's british indie bands. Really like them, hope they play somewhere.

Bloc Party have a possibility if they are doing isle of wight, infact I think they are worth a rumour. I can't really see where they would play though because they've been away for so long!

Seen as they're touring this year.... Swans would be cool. Their new album is a great piece of work.
