Love that. One of my favourites.

A Quarter of a century has somehow passed and this still never seems to get old....

When I'm up this late I'm generally listening to sweet House Music*

(* not even late, but I must go to bed soon)

Made it  -The Promised land indeed!

Thanks for all the well wishes last night too. First time I had to deal with the scrum for a few years, it is seriously stressful but such a buzz if you get a booking.

@eastynh & @bamber - did you get tickets?

Hope you got sorted. House music thread is mainly you two.. well bamber.

I am in mate. What a thoroughly horrible experience that was though. Had got ours by 9:15.

I had been telling myself that I was not that arsed for weeks, yet after being in work for 14 hours,  I felt sick entering my details. Had to go back twice before it all finally went through.

I was then home for half 9. Logged on here and realised tickets were still available. It was horrible being sat there,  people reading peoples please for help and being so desperate for help. I logged back in at home on my laptop and phone in the hope I could help Floorfiller and a girl from Manchester who was asking for help. I did not get a sniff at home. I know people say that it does not matter, but for years I never got off the holding page at home where as the last 3 years have been a relative doddle in comparison, while trying from.

After seeing peoples reaction this morning, I really appreciate how fortunate I have been to get tickets again. Not sure whether Floorfella and so got tickets, but if I am on shift resale day then I will help as many regulars off here as I can.

I take no credit for the house music thread. Bamber educates me with a lot of stuff. I just pipe up every now and again with the old skool ones as that is my specialist subject.

    • I really like the Cheap Thrills! I saw them at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester in January at one of Chris Hawkins' "Awesome Friends" nights (which i think is why I even got tickets as it wasn't listed as a Cheap Thrills show!). Very good live and some great songs. I would've gone Saturday if I'd planned ahead!
    • They also seem to be in a mission to break the US with their new major label and this latest LP   Mid afternoon, live streamed on Disney+ is arguably a much bigger gig than Kendal Calling, if they had to skip one
