No to Placebo for me.

My understanding is that they have New Order for the Saturday - so will have a dance act possibly on Friday, and someone a bit special and 'legendary' on the Sunday.

I don't frankly see which category Placebo or Florence fall into, and I frankly hope to god it is neither of them.

I'd be happy if it was Placebo, because I love watching them live, but I'd prefer someone I haven't seen before. I don't actually think it will be Placebo, but anyone who thinks they're irrelevant now but remembers their old stuff fondly should give them a watch. They've got far better live.

I'm having a hard enough time convincing mates who'd rather go to Leeds (local, familiar) that Bestival is a better option without a headliner as unbelievably underwhelming as Placebo... Can't believe he'd book them to headline. They're neither legendary or current and exciting. Just a band that were alright and fairly big a few years ago.

Saying that, I heard Nancy Boy on the radio today and it sounded great. Bitter End is a good song too.

Placebo are alright but I really hope they're not headlining, they're just no wow factor about them, they tour and do fests all the time. They played 3rd down last time they played Leeds and I certainly wouldn't say they're any bigger. I'd say they could headline but they'd be weak IMO.
