Would it be a crazy shout to say I think Blink will be the biggest crowd of the festival?

All my group going with the exeption of me is going to see them (i know its just a small sample) they are most popular on clashfinder and are up against a act many saw last year

Hey Muppetmark, if you read this, were you there in a Blink t-shirt, shorts and red shoes?

No I was in my bst sabbath shirt Jeans and blue shoes. That guy was next to me if he's the guy who I think it was.

Edit: I was next to him before we went inside, not in the venue

It was phenomenal. Doubt it'll work outdoors but it was great at Brixton and I got a setlist :)

Disclosure will get the biggest crowd of the NME headliners and Arctic Monkeys will get the biggest crowd of the weekend.

Only just saw they didn't play Josie :(

I'd drop Natives and Wishing Well from the set though

Yeah, Wishing Well is awesome, I'd agree with dropping Natives though. I'd also drop Disaster and the Misfits cover, it'll be lost on an R&L crowd. I'd absolutely go nuts for Snake Charmer, but that isn't going to happen :( Edited by Andre91

I imagine Netsky will be a big crowd puller as well.

Not like it matters, but I reckon royal blood, Twin Atlantic, clean bandit will be acts rather low on the NME that will pull big crowds.

Oh and as I've said before, the arctics crowd is going to be riddiculously big. It was absolutely huge at T up against stronger alternatives than at reading. I walked over to disclosure after a certain romance and the crowd was noticeably small for the second stage.

    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
    • From Magyar’s FB:   ”Our country's energy and water supply is stable. As of today, voluntary consumption reduction is no longer necessary. The turbine at the Paks power plant is generating stably. Thanks to precipitation in Austria, the water level of the Danube will temporarily rise by 20–30 centimeters. Thank you, Hungary, for the unprecedented national unity shown in recent days! We have much to be proud of, and much to carry forward into the period ahead.”
    • I hope it stays under £400.  A lot of us aren't flush with cash.  Charities are great but do they need £1 mil (I jest)
