Aeroplane's my favourite Chilis track.

I do actually like OHM a lot. I just applied it to that because it'd be an anniversary next year and them apparently being a pop punk band. Only played Pea and Aeroplane since the album tour though. Ouch.

I always find OHM too much like Chilis trying to be JA, as opposed to sounding like the Chilis.

Dave Navarro did have a big part in the writing process to be fair, his playing is very distinctive which is what makes it sounds like JA to me aside from the use of trippy sections and vocal effects which Jane's are also known for. OHM is my favourite Peppers album besides BSSM to be honest, wish Dave had a bit more time in the band to release another album with them.

Oh I know, he was the guitarist and a major writer on that album in place of Frusciante. It just does sound to me like Chilis doing JA, and makes me want to listen to actual JA. It's not quite one band or the other and I think it fails because of that.

Kind off topic, but it's really worrying me...

I registered to volunteer this year, but my friend didn't. I've now read that I have no choice but to camp in the crew area, and it's too late to cancel (plus the Reading tickets have sold out).

Has anybody done this in the past and knows if there's any opportunity to like, back out, lose the £230 deposit and just gain entry to and enjoy the festival? Thanks in advance :)

Don't see why you couldn't go in with all your documentation, get your crew wristband then flee once the punters arrive and move your pitch into normal camping. I'd be crazy tempted to do it myself at Glasto if (God forbid) I fail to get tickets one year.

They will blacklist you, though.

I only volunteered last year, however, so someone more experienced may come along and tell you there's more to it than that.

This is what I saw (and the reason I question this here):

You must camp with the staff and volunteers in the secure area provided. We ask you to not camp in the public areas as:

We have a duty to look after you and keep you safe, easier done if youre camped with us!

Volunteers are required to check in at the cabin before each shift and make sure they are aware of updates throughout the festival.

In the past staff and volunteers have been involved with incidents due to camping in the public areas.

Think about it - if you had been told off by a member of staff or one of your friends had been evicted by security, then later in the day you find someone who works at the festival camping next to you, how might you treat them?
