2013 Lineup

I bet none of them bands will be there at all next year. My guess is that Biffy may be there. But not headlining.

Look at bands who are up and coming. A lot of those bands have had their day.

The headliners seem to have a pattern of:

old band : The Cure/Pulp/Guns N roses

first time headliners: kasabian/MCR/ Arcade Fire

world class bands: Foo Fighters/ Muse / Blink 182 (debatable)

Old band: Blur (or hopefully Pearl Jam, but I'd be very pleased with either)

First time headliner: Biffy Clyro

World Class Band: The Killers (ie. Not world class in any way, but big)

With this lineup though (And 2010 with GnR) the old band is the huge band, which is where the pattern falls flat.

If they played in 2019 (and probably 2025) as well then maybe you'd be on to something, three pieces of data with a conicidental link is a bit of a stretch to be considered a pattern.
