only problem with Fleetwood Mac is, all the desperate fans that didn't get a ticket for their tour would buy all the R/L tickets and only turn up for fleetwood mac.

I don't think either of those 3 are actually likely but if one of them did play, looks like Reading are having their very own legends slot.

It's all well and good and I like those bands, but reading is catered for newer music is it not? They are bands not even most late 20 something's have ever been into

Agreed. Through trial and tribulation we have either been given reason to include a new band or chuck out ones that can't. I firmly believe it has to be 1 of the few we have left

I think its more along the lines of not being one of those being constantly discussed (Green Day/Sabbath basically). At least that's what I mean.

Those are the main ones discussed because there's actually a couple of things backing them up. Other than that we have stuff like Linkin Park, Metallica, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, RATM who have bugger all announced in Europe, and they're still being heavily linked.

I think its okay as long as it doesnt lose its younger fan base.

The Cure were amazing but Maccabees, Foos and Kasabian gave something to the younger audience as well.

As long as Arctics are there (or whichever band is the coolest at any given point), i think Reading can afford to have one older headliner as well,

True, but I think with eminem being a "different" booking, I'd assume they'd want to play the final headliner safe. I'm all for slightly older bands, but 70 year olds at reading? C'mon......

I have a feeling Lacuna Coil could appear on the line up. They are playing in Italy on the 27/08 and they have no other Europe dates although that Italy date could just be a one off!

FOB, System, Biffy, Eminem, Foals (if they're any good on tuesday) and i have to admit i quite like the new BMTH stuff so may watch them if no one else is on. Interesting to assume the age of people answering this question as well.
