The first statement is just plain wrong, they are currently bigger than MCR, the cure, the strokes, arcade fire and blink. And i would say as big as kasabian.

The second statement is also wrong, nobody was predicting them to play because they were 'relatively' small and unknown untill el camino hit in december, by the time the announcement came lonely boy and gold on the ceiling were huge songs and the rest of the album has been the soundtrack to adverts and TV shows for the past 12 months.

The one problem I had with Black Keys subbing was the fact they only played 40 mins of their alloted 1hr 5mins. Performance was good though.

Sorry, but they are not bigger than any of those bands.

Not taking anything away from them because they're a cracking band, but it was evident from their Reading set that a lot of people only knew 2 or 3 of their songs (annoyingly)

True, but I'd argue that The Black Keys are far more suited to the Reading and Leeds crowd than both of those acts; if Elbow was to play again they probably would headline but it doesn't feel right as they don't have that much buzz about them, same for Madness.

Tbh i thought Madness where perfect for the sunday afternoon slot, saw them at Leeds 11 and they were fantastic. Think they could pull any slot off but judging by the crowd they got in 11 they would need to be on main. Would love to see them back tho.
