Yup I know they have, a few times, used to be fairly regular.

I know a show and tour are, but it's it's still relevant to what thousands would get to see before R&L. I don't think they've paid the money to watch him tour to 100k or whatever before another 170k

Melvin Benn is well know to twist words to make you think something without saying it like when he said R&L headliners wont be headlining any other English festivals only for people to call outrage when My Chems were announced even tho they were going to be at T. The statement was UK Fest Exclusive that means no other UK fest and everything about no UK shows is things that have been made up in your head. Kasabian, Blink, Guns and a few others have done warm up shows/mini tours so it's possible he will play in the UK before R&L.

No where near big enough to headline...and it wouldn't be a reformation anyway, they've been gone less than a year?

Or it weren't to your tastes, I thought it looked brilliant but I was a poor student that year and had already been glasto tongue.pngThough looking back, it looks maybe they didn't have any other options for headliners that year.

i was actually looking forward to it very much then was let down pretty much. Pulp out performed them in every way possible.

i don't know if that was the case. MCR were always a decent bet after they didn't make it the year before.

i think the strokes was always going to happen, the fact they didn't play R&L 1st instead of IOW and Rockness was the more surprising factor there and Muse'd been booked for along ti

Soundgarden have been back since 2010 now.

I'm not sure as I can see at least 2 of the headliners being 1st choices. My Chem were rumoured for the previous year and may of been set for then but delayed it due to their drummer(?) leaving, it was either Neil or Melvin that was raving about how good The Strokes were at IOW so they booked them based on that and Melvin talked about Muse were in the works for years to play.

I think it will sell out within a few days next year. T 2010 and V 2011 sold out within minutes if I remember rightly. This is my shout for the lineup now.

Linkin Park, Biffy

Eminem, Weezer (I just wanted to put them in somwhere)

Blur, Jack White

NME - Alt J, Frank Turner, Soundgarden
