The Prodigy were an easy go-to headliner throughout the 90's and early 00's. But then they released AONNOG which received average reviews and the band were starting to fray. Members left, and they didn't do much. It looked like they were breaking up when they released their best of. That was the lowest they've ever been really. But then Invaders Must Die happened, incredible album with rave reviews getting to Number One in the chart. They're once again big, but then they play festivals, and prove they still have it live. They still have to prove themselves though, as their still sub headliners in most people eyes. They then sell out Milton Keynes. and Download took the risk. and frankly they don't look out of place as headliners. They could, at this point, headline Reading and Leeds, easily. Especially with a new album.

What are the chances of like an ultimate legendary band playing? Ie. The Who, Led Zep, Rolling Stones, even Paul McCartney!?

I understand it's slim as the price would be ridiculous, they would probably go straight to Glastonbury and then there's the issue with getting them all back together... But would it be impossible or is there a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel?

Reading tries hard to appeal to younger fans, because that's the target audience. I can't imagine them ever putting a "Nostalgia" band as a headliner. Rolling Stones are likely for Glasto next year though, I reckon.

R&L - Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, Blur.

Download - Van Halen, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot.

Sonisphere - Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age, Iron Maiden.

Glastonbury - Radiohead, The Stone Roses, Lady Gaga.

T in the Park - Biffy Clyro, The Killers, Arcade Fire

V - Lady Gaga, Muse

If Sonisphere isn't on then switch Maiden to Download instead of A7x

My prediction for the IOW Festival is Pendulum, Arcade Fire and The Killers to headline. That would be excellent. Or for an outside bet Lostprophets, Radiohead, The Killers with Arcade Fire headlining Glastonbury.

If A7X and Slipknot headlined Download next year I would explode into extreme happiness.

    • I think it's a conscious decision this year not to publicize it beforehand. Not sure why. Maybe they have even removed the concept of a passport altogether and have something else... I like it because it helps me find parts of the program that don't function as slots in the timetable.
    • Still see Beach House with a new Album    and Tame Impala and The Strokes.
    • Yeah the rumour I heard is Glastonbury + Spurs stadium, the guy who posted it seems to be on the ball most of the time as well.   He's also now put one up for Sam fender summer shows
