Put I am not talking about cost... Its about expectation of your fellow man... What is fair... What is right...

PMSL. :lol::lol:

That's a discussion that leads nowhere to support what you want to believe of yourself. Myself and others have tried getting thru to you that the money you earn isn't right or fair against your contributions to the world - because that's the fact of the matter - but you won't have it. You only want to ever consider anything against your preconceived ideas.

Did you happen to see any of the programme by Nick Robinson ("where the money goes" or something similar) in the last couple of weeks?

Cos if you did you'd have got to see that on all of the basis you say you buy into and accept as right, you're leeching off others no different to Peter Dow.

Not really got much interest in listening to your view on our "world society" all over again... On these issues I am raising about Dow the majority of the UK see it as an issue within only our society... Its further reaches on the global scale are not often greatly considered, as much as that pisses you off...

If you had managed to engage your brain for just a moment, you'd have realised that I laid out two different versions of things there, one that's my personal view that you reject, but also the view that you believe is right and proper.

And with the view that you think right and proper, YOU ARE STILL A LEECH!!!!!

Go and view that Robinson programme on iPlayer, and hear for yourself the true fact that you're a leech even with your view of things.

It's not like Dow is sponging benefits to spend on booze, sky TV and takeaway pizza. While I'm not convinced that his blogs are a sufficient contribution to the world, he's certainly trying to contribute in the best way he feels is left available to him. He believes that's a bigger contribution to society than working in some minimum wage job, and while I don't agree with his assertion that everyone will be 1/3 richer if his work to get a republic succeeds, the idea that he's better off championing an ideal is completely ridiculous.

(Although lots of his reasoning and desired methods are).

Yeah yeah yeah... Everyone is a c**t but you... We know Neil, we hear it everyday... Meanwhile the world keeps turning...

Oh do fuck off.

All I was saying is that on the basis that YOU use to view these things, you are - indusputably - a leech on society just as Peter is.

The facts prove it. See for yourself by viewing that Robinson programme.

You can deny those facts, but you can't change them or disprove them.

I am not really... Just observing what is generally accepted as being the general mood of the British public. You of course are the exception to this.

Do you really think I am wrong about the masses here ?

You're not wrong about the masses.

But the masses are wrong. Go view that Robinson programme, where he'll clearly show how they and you are.

I don't personally view people as "spongers" according to what they choose to spend the money they get from benefits. Its about his mindset and what he is and isn't prepared to do for our society.

Ever done any charity work Dow while you have been sucking from societies nipple ?

Well I don't support people sitting around all day if they are on job seekers for example. They should be looking for a job! For example...

But at the same time, I am not going to say they shouldn't buy sky tv or get a pizza...

bazza, you sound like you've been taken in by all the hysterical coverage fed you by the media

I feel a little bit embarrassed that you cant grasp what people are saying here.

I'm sure you think you're doing what's best for society. You're wrong though.

How does putting Peter in McDonalds for 8 hours a day improve anything?

Oh come on... Thats the easy route... I am hardly touting some anti benefit Daily Mail war here.

I can grasp I just don't agree...

I think I explained above the benefit... Tax revenue to pay for the truly needy... (Although just been told he is claiming disability allowances so obviously I might need to change me tune here a little regarding Dow if he has been signed off work).

No... See my question to him about charity work...

Yet, on the basis of how Dow sees his own work, it's as important as any charity work he might do - and far more important than lots of the charity stuff he might do.

After all, any charity work would help a few individuals. Were his campaign to bear fruit, he'd be helping every individual in this country.

Plenty of people in this country are paid for political campaigning. Many of those are paid by charities for their campaigning, and at the expense of helping individuals those charities might otherwise help.

Just because you might see Dow's campaigning as worthless and pointless doesn't mean that it is. I'm sure there's those who would see any charity work you might do in the way way.

It's not all as simple or as black and white as you want to see it as, particularly when compared on a fair basis with other political or charity work.

Based on what ? Other than he doesn't want to work what is the reason for not expecting him to go and work like most people ?

Lets take a presumption that he isn't suffering from depression given your comment above.

Why not? I'd rather people that were net takers from the state tried to do something for society, rather than just sat in a council house watching the idiot box and letting their potential dissipate as they turn their mind into slurry. Crazy as Peter's ideas are, he's still thinking.

I think you are just hearing what you want to hear...

I mentioned charity work above but it seems to have passed you by. If it hadn't, you might get a clue that the bolded bit isn't how I think. But hey whatever...

Leave you to go back to bullying him on other more trivial matters...

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
