liam gallagher has said he wants to get oasis back together, for a reunion tour to mark the 20th anniversary of defernetly maybe. in 2015

sounds good to me,

i think he might sound a bit better once they hit the road again, even tho im not a big fan of beady eye, liam sounds good.

Noel's still upset apparently:

A real pity imo. As Gallagher Snr. pointed out in a recent interview, they only had a couple of gigs to go when the bust up happened. If they could have got through those, they could have had a couple of years off to calm down, then record a new album and tour it along with a 20th anniversary play through of Definitely Maybe in 2014 and totally coined it.

Though I think that maybe (definitely?) I would sooner see Noel tour it solo than have Liam shout his way through everything as he seems to do nowadays.

I don't like these "play the album" tours. Removes any degree of unpredictability from a gig and becomes revisionist. "Lets bang out the old hits lads" kinda thing.

If Oasis do it though they'll have to drop Roll With It. A stinker.

It'll happen sooner or later. Neither Gallacher will be as sucessful on their own. Personally i couldn't give a shit, I went off Oasis around 1998, I would perhaps go see them at a festival if they played though.

Have you listened to '... Morning Glory' lately? It hasn't stood the test of time IMHO. Roll With It, Hey Now, Cast No Shadow, She's Electric, Champagne, even Don't Look Back In Anger sound shallow, pointless and lack any meaning. Its just really fucking boring. We listened to it in its entirety whilst having dinner the other night and it was just a depressing noise, soulless and joyless.

how come it took you nearly 20 years to notice...? :P

    • Spring (or early) next year now.   Says to me that the album is/was delayed. I've done some digging but not had anything beyond that.
    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
