Anyone got at Regatta 4 man dome tent? According to the internet Argos have them at half price for £34.99 at the moment and I was wondering whether to get one, rather than borrowing my son's quite expensive technical tent and risk damaging it.

Any comments/advice?

I've spent the day deep in tent porn, looking round the internet and ending up in our local go outdoors lying in tents with my daughter.

Nearly ordered a Vango Alpha 400, which would be fine for me, but if son wants to go to Glastonbury next year we will need something to replace our aged Lichfield if we want to avoid water ingress.

So now I'm thinking a Vango Eos 350 will do for BT for me, and fit 2 for G next year.

I think the Eos is like the Beta, inside head height 135 and large side opening porch.

any wise words about the Eos/Beta?

I must admit to not having read this thread, it all seemed a bit tent and lawnmower obsessed tbh, so appologies if this has already been covered, but has anybody got any idea about the 'special guest' slot?

I'm crossing all of my bits hoping it could be Micachu but can't really convince myself that that's likely.

Sorry about the tent focus. I promise to restrict the tent talk.

Yes, I thought the special guest was Wheatus, but maybe there is more to be announced? There is already loads I'm looking forward to- Levellers, Damned, DR and the Medics, Chumbawamba, plus activities- cloud and nature stuff and the ballet class of course.

Massive respect to our legal team who have successfully revistied the licence and agreed with the council workable soundlevels thru till 2am.

It was a long and expensive struggle but we have got there!! Dance tent is also now down my the waters edge firing up the slope [works better on all levels!! That along with raising the bassbins and pointing them down into the dancefloor and several other tweaks will ensure we have an enjoyable experience in the tent thru till the close.

We have also employed the leading sound monitoring and sound management team who will be working for us throughout the festival.

Its very dear to us that we are allowed to continue to provide live music at acceptable levels to an acceptable time....

Well done Flip and the rest of the team

I must admit, I , along with others in my group, were disappointed with the sound levels in the dance tent last year, so very encouraging to read your news.

After swearing we would give BT a miss this year , due to the problems with security/beer/camping/sound levels etc etc, we are now really looking forwards to this years as all of the issues seem to have been addressed.

You can't have perfection and I would never look for or expect that, always got to take the rough with the smooth, but last year was jus totally out of balance.

Anyway, thats enough of the past. Onwards and upwards, and , if the line up is anything to go by, I think we should be in for one amazing festival. Great dance tent line up, btw.

Cheers Just7!!

Fully agree that sound levels were an issues between 12 and 2am on the Friday and Saturday last year.

We could have just given up and gone down the Silent Disco route [yuk! Not on my feckkin watch!!] but we all passionately believe its a fundamental right of the festival goer to enjoy decent levels until a decent time [2am for Bearded as we are essentially a family festival] with no detrimental effect to local residents...it was this clarity that we didn't have agreed from a legal perspective...we do now!!

I'm giving this some serious thought but can't really afford it. Can someone please post something negative about the festival to put me off?

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
