I agree to a certain extent. That said going to the French league which next season, with the money the PSG are splashing, is likely to be very uncompetitive, rather than the spanish or english leagues does suggest that the money on offer was what swayed him, rather than the challenge.

If PSG offered the same money as Man U, Barcelona, Milan etc they would have no chance of getting the player. If players werent willing to move for money, the big clubs at the top would never change, that may suit some but wouldnt suit me. The French league may not be compeitive but as I think Neil said PSG are looking beyond domestic football. I personally think it is great that there are more clubs challenging at the top level and the status quo are not having everything their own way.

I think its a bit of an awkward situation with him only having a 1 year contract, if they let it just run down its going to cause instability at the club. In an ideal world you would probably offer a 1 year extension and reassess in the summer but I doubt Arry would accept. I suspect you have to either back him with 3 years minimum or sack him. I would personlly go for the latter.

1. I feel Spurs throwing away a huge lead against a mediocre arsenal side was heavily down to the manager. Poor rotation, poor decisions in terms of loaning players out and poor tactics.

2. Arry has at time been lucky but if left to his own devices Bale would have been farmed out to the championship and Modric would have gone to chelsea last summer. In which case spurs would be nowhere near 4th.

3. We are told he is an excellent man manager by his media chums. However of the teams chasing champions league football in the last couple of weeks, only players from 1 team seemed to be coming out with comments about possibly leaving if they didnt make it.

Didn't they have something like 5 points after 10 games or something like that?

Sometimes fans forget the progress spurs have made since harry took over. They were nowhere near being a cl side before him.

Reminds me of Charlton fans moaning about curbishley finishing mid table in prem all the time, what they would give for that now.

And Portsmouth were nowhere near winning the FA Cup and having a run in the Europa then, but nor were they at such a risk of collapse. 'Arry runs a club into the ground and jumps ship before the backlash comes.

That's up to the owners to keep a reign in it though I would of thought?

Going back to spurs which where people on here have been laughing at his record. He's prem positions have been 4th 5th and 4th, which are spurs best ever finishes so you can't question his record. Spending is up to people above him to say no, not up to harry

Even if Redknapp stays I don't think they'll get 4th again without huge investment. Bale, Modric, Defoe, Assou-Ekotto all made noises about leaving. Adebayor won't be re-signed. They shipped out all their squad players. Their defense is full of old or crocked players (Walker aside). I think short of them getting a top top manager, or incredibly major investment, they'll struggle to finish even in the Europa League. Arsenal have already made good moves in the transfer market, we've supposedly got money to spend on top of any players we sell, Chelski are looking to spend a lot. I think there's a clear top 4 of City/Utd/Arsenal/Chelski, with us, Spurs and Liverpool hoping for a bit of luck. I can't see the race for 4th being anywhere near as competitive for the next couple of seasons at least, and Spurs have the older squad of the chasing pack.

Considering that's inconsistent with things like fees for the same player (supposedly we sold Bassong to Spurs for 10m, but Spurs bought him for 8m), and misses out a few signings (I don't know Spurs' off by heart, but it misses out us selling Routledge), I don't see that site being right. I'm sure it's got some of the to/from Pompey fees wrong as well.

Don't get me wrong I don't think Harry is in the top bracket of football managers in the world, but he's done a very good job at Spurs. I laugh at his glaring weaknesses and how the media over hype him, but at the same time he's got Spurs in the top four a couple of times and had some good cup runs.

If Moyes does go there (apparently he was the alternative to Rodgers when it looked as if Harry would take the England job), I don't see that as a good move for Everton or Spurs. Personally think a lot of players may leave now Harry's gone. Say what you like about him, but he does have a cult of personality about him with players. Players stay with him and follow him round like very few others I've seen.

A massive gamble by Levy in my opinion. Massive.

Edit: On a lighter note, what a name this youth player has:

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
