But they have a significant history, big stadiums and a fairly large fanbase. And even Ligue 1 gets a fair whack of publicity. I can't see a Sheikh buying a Serbian team and making them a major European force.

Apparently the Belgium players don't gell together at international level, amazing with the talent involved. Montpellier just scored, the hero john (not quite a premiership legend) utaka.

Fantastic weekend of football :D

Back in the premier league after a brilliant final at Wembley!!! Was so glad to see Cole get a goal to, he deserves it. His shooting can be a bit hit and miss but he always puts the effort in.

CL final was brilliant, from about the last 10/20 minutes of normal time. Edge of the seat stuff, it just didn't seem to be Bayerns night really, I really didn't ever think they would win on penalties as they just didn't seem to have that extra bit of luck needed! Best of all, no CL for harry and spurs!

Yep, them throwing away an 8 point lead over 3rd is everyone fault but Arry. Nothing to do with poor tactics, lack of squad rotation or silly decisions to loan out the likes of corluka and pienaar when there was no backup. Of course its all down to speculation about the England job!! interesting what happens at spurs as he only has 1 year left on his contract, I cant see Levy giving out a big contract.

oh, I wasn't trying to suggest that 'arry is free of blame.

But all the same, the squad performed across the whole season in about the normal lazy-arsed Spurs way, and nothing about their slump was particularly unexpected against the players' normal season stats.

'Arry is superb.

well, he's certainly got one fantastic managerial record - and that's being personally responsible for nearly 20% of all English football clubs that have gone under.

The downside to that is he's yet to fatally damage Spurs. C'mon 'arry, stop slacking.
