I know very little about music ( sorry if I'm repeating myself for the nth time). However I have to agree with you on a sense of decorum - there really wasn't any need to speak so harshly of your opinion. I can only hope that it was done light heartedly rather than to cause offence. It could be because I personally use swear words like punctuation marks when conversing.

i've got a sneaky feeling that you might see elbow headline at some point on either the main stage or other stage, they love the festival and the festival loves them, theyve got plenty of material and have been slowly working their way up the card.

I could imagine on past performances that kasabian could pop up as a headliner as well after subbing 3 times.

dont shoot me, im not saying its who i want, just who i could imagine !

He constantly slates anyone else for stating an opinion contrary to his across the entire board really, he doesn't seem to understand the discussion part of a forum  . As soon as anyone points out flaws in his thinking which if you put your opinion on a message board, its going to be discussed and pointed out the flaws go on about people not respecting opinion :P

Come on children. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone is entitled to disagree. But describing some else's view as 'talking shit' doesn't really add a lot to the debate.

It's called having an opinion on their opinion you idiot lol. And yes I am opinionated and defend my own thinking, why the hell would I think it or say it without a backup to it, that's rather idiotic.

You talk about my respect for others? Some of the word use you use is appauling. And you can reply with this when you state someone talks shit, they really do. Think about it

I don't think calling someone an idiot is very helpful either. Maybe I'm turning into a prude. Maybe it's OK to slag each other off. It just doesn't sound right to do it. Intelligent reasoning and discussion / debate is where it should be at. Then again, what do I know!

Kanye West to headline due to Jayz/ Beyonce connection.

Libertines because of their relationship with Eavis and probably reforming again next year.

Phil Collins; Would be a complete wildcard, unexpected and he deserves it.

Kanye couldn't sell that many tickets for The Big Chill last year so won't be booked to headline.

Libertines probably reforming again next year? Where'd you hear that? Or is it just the same rumour that goes around constantly? I highly doubt it to be honest.

Phil Collins? Most definitely a wildcard, personally can't see it but I have no reason to suggest he won't.

Kanye was obviously booked in the hope that Big Chill would sell out, it did not work out but he is a global star who has headlined many other festivals that have sold out.

Has he? Which ones?

Eavis booked two of the headliners for 2013 last year about the time when Libertines were doing their thing at Reading.

no he didn't. Where have you got that from?

And anyway, the Libs are far too small and niche for Glasto. They'd have the smallest headlining crowd since about 1981.

Eavis was quoted as saying that two of the headliners for 2013 were already being lined up. Can't remember where I read it as it was last year, but it was in black and white and apart from walking down to Worthy Farm and asking Eavis directly that's about as good as it gets.

Libertines have talked about doing more stuff together if you believe the NME and the lure of headlining Glastonbury would seal it. Pretty sure Carl and Pete are fairly chummy with old Eavis too. • My party again had an outstanding 4 days in Barca. We made the right call to leave the festival site early at about 10.30 on Thursday to get ourselves some excellent steaks in the city. I am with everyone that the organization should have been clearer about what is going on and also if you would like to get rid of some attendees open more exits, they sent us from gate to gate until we finally were able to get out. Biggest 'disappointment' was the beer price, a YoY increase from 5 to 6 is absolutely nuts!!! (i am living in Switzerland so me making this comment says something 🙂)   Top 10:   1. Men I Trust 2. Role Model (could have been first as well, what a great artist and great songs) 3. The XX 4. The cure (the last 90 minutes) 5. Gorillaz 6. MBV 7. Ninajirachi (another big miss of the organization, clearly on the wrong podium and wonder if Olivia's surprise set had something to do with that and they had to reschuffle late the Occident, Cupra and Port schedules) 8. NewDad 9. Big Thief 10. Annastashia      We did 3 years Barca now and for next year looking at the Porto or Bilbao festivals as an option.
    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
