I often wonder this, can you not just get in with a tall stepladder and jump over the fence, it can't be that difficult can it and I have never known anyone to check for wristbands once in, they do fall off you know. It seems so simple.... Apart from the risk of breaking your back on the other side! But the fence isnt that big is it.

BinThere - I've read your story before, it's brilliant.

And there is a moral to this tale - When on a mission to break into the G...PACK TWIXES!

Every year they seize multitudes of ladders, ropes, grappling hooks and other paraphenalia (there is a recent article mentioning this, can't recall where).

There are 2 fences, with a wide gap between, so you have to get over one, get down, cross the track, up and over the other, in a timespan shorter than it takes to get spotted by cctv, watchtower or patrol as well as having to approach the fence in full view carrying whatever you are planning to use. Almost no one gets in that way anymore (people still do, but tens, rather than tens of thousands).

They were actively ejecting people found without wristbands last year for certain, quite a few people Ive spoken to have witnessed that much.

I have heard tales of people paying quite a bit of cash to locals/farmers for a ride into the fest hidden in a tractor/truck. No idea if its true and can't really be condoned if it is.

dont encourage people to do it. Hardly fair for all of us that have legitimately paid to go that others who didnt get tickets are just gonna try and get in for free plus it takes the piss out of Glastonbury as they hardly charge a fortune for the best part of a week's entertainment. If you can't go, you can't go, grow up and man up and go to another one or wait until 2013.

It's only one large one, with a smaller one and a track down which they drive the landrovers and ride horses, not 2 superfences. I've not tried getting in without a ticket since 2000 and am basing this on the tv coverage of the fence over the years.

Once your mate blags that hes lost his pass out they will take him to an office and check his legit and then give him a different band that makes passing out again very hard, I lost a pass out in '09.

'08 me and my mates got in in a simalar way to this ( but with traders tickets no photos;) ) and the trick is not to have bare wrists even a watch or sweat band no ones looking for people with no bands. It is do-able.

good luck to the op, i admire your courage. i've not had to do contemplate it yet myself thankfully. had one friend who managed it ticketless last year and have two trying this. my cousin managed it many times in the 70s. a few extras each year won't hurt - even michael eavis would think the same i'm fairly certain

I know of two people who managed to get in ticketless. One was smuggled in in a wheelbarrow under a pile of blankets and the other bribed security £20 :O

The latter was a mates boyfriend and freaked the living daylights out of us as we were pretty intoxicated when he just turned up. We thought he was at work in Wales.

I don't condone it though, No matter how gutted I was I would just have to count my losses and avoid all media all weekend.
