Good breakfast places

This will be my third straight year and all i seem to eat there for breakfast i a fry up or bacon roll etc. Despite my best intensions i always seem to follow my group but i want to try something different but when you either hung over or just plain knackered then you just grab the nearest thing.

I have seen a post that mentions Strawberrys and clotted cream, i would be grateful for suggestions such as this, what are the place names and where they are.

Breakfast at the tent (it's great to watch the others crawl out of their pits) with toast, cereal, fruit juice and strong coffee. Come to gently and then spend your money on a decent lunch.

Nice if you have all the gear, but i like to carry as little as possible and that's even to much, having said that the tent, wellies, rucksack, beer, et al is hardly carrying light! :D

Mmmmm, might be worth a trek to the green fields, could possibly pick up a massage on the way! Did you have anything in mind generally in the Green fields?

There was a really great crepe place just down from the queens head last year, walking uphill towards queens head, at the point that you would turn left to go to bourbon street right on the corner. Generous portions, tasty and a real treat (sweet or savoury).

Personally I take a box of crunchy nut cornflakes, invest in a pint of milk and a carton of orange juice and get a couple of bowls of cereal down me, saving my cash for dinner/tea. I don't usually eat breakfast but at glastonbury, with all the walking, feel it is justified.

Kedgerie (is that how it's spelt?) from the Goan fish curry stall in West Holts is an absolute breakfast treat.

Oh and The Growler from the stall by the other stage is a fine (if very stodgy) way to start the day.

A bag full of fresh croissants ( best ever!!) from the bakery, a big fresh black coffee and freshly squeezed juice all devoured whilst watching an early morning band........heaven.:D

Went to some little cafe in amongst the trees, just off the old railway track last year. Cant remember exactly where, as i just followed people in my morning haze. They do stuff like cereal, fruit salad and juice etc. Was lovely just to sit for a bit, and eat something relatively healthy (muesli and watermelon). Felt like a new man afterwards, much nicer than shoving grease down your neck at that time of the morning.

Even if you're travelling light a pack of museli and some instant coffee doesn't take up much weight. You can get fresh milk and orange juice on site. Making your own breakfast doesn't cost much and saves a fair bit. Main meals take more preparing so save your money for those.

Green fields is always good, try Henry's Beard or Thai Whallas for lovely veggie breakfasts.

The crumpet place (strumpets with crumpets?) in market area near bourbon street does a nice breakfast crumpet too

In the past i have had some pretty good vegie stuff in the greenfields area, most are pretty good in that area. For this year though as i think i will give the vegie stuff a miss, really only eat it as her indoors is 100% vegie and i just go along to keep the peace !!!. She does not do Glasto, at all, and this year i really fancy some serious Bacon, Eggs, fried bread, mushrooms ect......Best Places Please

There was a place in The Park last year that did a veggie/vegan breakfast that was nice - it also did muesli/cereals and it had soya milk (big thing for me being lactose intolerant) so I would recommend there. It is nice some mornings just to get fresh fruit and feast on that - very refreshing in the heat!

The bakery is usually located near to the Acoustic/Cinema field and opposite the Kidz Field on the right hand side of the track if you are heading from the meeting point towards Ped gate C.

Always reasonably priced cakes, bread and savoury snacks.
