This has made my night :) It may only be a DJ set, but those Hartnolls really know their tunes, check out their 2-part acid/house/techno retrospective mix from 6music last year. Chems then Orbital - should be a blinder!

this will be so oversubscribed its untrue, would love to go but i doubt i would get in there after chemicals.

something needs to change at the festival so loud outdoor music can go on later into the night in not just one tiny corner of the site (ok its not tiny but for 150k+ ppl and compared to the rest of the festival) so the crowd can spread out more. many people dont want to go to bed till around 2/3am if not later on the main nights if they can hack it, but there's not enough capacity for everyone.

admittedly i can see the logic of running off via west holts but it shouldnt take meticulous pre planning just to see something late at night.

Trick is to be on the Southern side of the Second Stage field with your route to Arcadia straight through past West Holts firmly fixed your head and your caning it as fast as you can across site shoes. It took me less than 10 minutes to make it across that evening.

Who can say what time the Chems will finish but last year PSB were the Second Stage headliners and it was all over by 11.45pm or possibly even earlier. They finished up to 20 minutes before Muse and George Clinton was still up and running when I shot past the West Holts Stage to get over to Arcadia. I ended up kicking my heels in an empty Arcadia field with bugger all going for at least an hour! Ended up catching the last half hour of Lightning Seeds in the Avalon Tent and still nothing was happening at Arcadia at 1am so I fecked off I was that bored waiting for something to happen. :(

Orbital wont probably start DJing until 12.30am at the very earliest I shouldnt think.

Nothing going on?! - You sure you went into the right field??? They usually have a fire show then DJ's on after....it's not all banging music in there 24/7.

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
