Bloodhound Gang 2000

Hopefully someone here may be able to help me. In 2000 the Bloodhound Gang grabbed some fatso loser up on stage and made him sit on the drum riser and drink Dr Pepper for half of their set, then took the piss out of him and covered him in cranberry juice. Anyway, that fatso loser was me, and it was an absolute riot being up there taking part in the show of one of my favourite bands and I knew exactly the sorta thing to expect.

I used to have the footage of it that was shown on (what at the time I think was) BBC Choice, but the video is long since lost, and I can't find any footage, or even stills of me up there with the band. I was wearing a yellow bloodhound gang t-shirt and a massive grin. I'd love to see it again, or even see some photos, but nothing is appearing through image searches or Youtube, so if anyone has anything squirreled away in any collection, please let me know!

Cheers!

You're in luck!

A mate of mine was hanging out with Bloodhound Gang at that show, and was taking pics from the side of the stage. I've only got one of those pics used on this website (of Tommy Lee dropping his trousers), but I'm sure he'll still have the rest he took which is bound to include some of you.

Send me an email at [email protected] and I'll forward it on to him and then he can get back to you. :)

I have one song (soft touch? - the discovery channel one) ripped from VHS a couple of years ago which came from the BBC footage. Can't remember a fatso loser on the drum riser featuring, but I may well be wrong. Let me know if you want it and I'll see if I can turn it into a useable file for you (the whole 4 hour VHS tape is one big AVI file!)

Watching that video, is it just me or did crowds seem more up for it in the 90's/ early 00's?

I'm thinking of this video as well.

I just don't think crowds are as mental at the big fests anymore but I could be totally wrong.

I love that FLC video, it's definitely true though. I think it was one of the side-effects of the big fence sadly. I would hazard a guess that the demographic of the freebies were pretty young and up-for-it!

Perhaps but the crowd was the same at T In The park that year.

I think alot might have to do with "Golden Circle" barriers etc.. I also believe that festival culture has changed and alot of the crowd tend to be happy standing around looking trendy rather than throw themselves into it. Again I could be way off the mark.

I only went to see one band and even then stayed way back on the edge, but it would seem to me possible that people weren't 'going for it' because their feet were stuck to the floor by mud.I could be wrong here as I didn't see what the conditions were like personally.

I'm finally going through my '99, '00 and '02 coverage that I converted from VHS last year and chopping it up into songs. As long as YouTube don't remove it for copywrite infringement I should be posting lots more in the coming weeks. Maybe I'll start a dedicated thread...

I'll bow to your greater knowledge. I don't go there for the music really so don't watch out for these things. Just thought if your feet are stuck all your going to be able to do is sway! :)
