Yes, if Biffy don't headline which is a possibility, obvs R+L is a bigger fest than Soni bearing in mind though, it's be the natural thing to do. Biffy are kinda of seen as Foo's like I think in ways. I reckon though Biffy may at least sub T, maybe head it, see how that goes in a bigger place, and then almost defo headline R+L when they return.

That's true, but I was mainly referring to how the last two bands to sub to the Foos, KOL and Muse, both went on to become internationally massive, and playing an epic Glasto headline set on the way up. So if there actually is some kind of pattern created by a greater force (one which is obviously a Muse and KOL fan) and not just me being superstitious, then I don't think it would harm Biffy to play 2nd to the Foos. ;)

So, Biffy for Glasto 2013 headliners? :P

I thought at the time I wrote this that it was a bit more original than a lot of the lineups people have been posting, but since then quite a few of the names on mine have been suggested.

I'm very intrigued by the prospect of Blur - is it actually likely? Because that would be the best booking at the festival for years I feel. Anyway, here goes my lineup:

Friday

Main

System Of A Down (co-headline)

Slipknot (co-headline)

Slayer

Feeder

Alkaline Trio

You Me At Six

AFI

The Pretty Reckless

Killswitch Engage

Cancer Bats

NME

Suede

The Maccabees

Saturday

Main

Bloc Party

Kaiser Chiefs

Mumford & Sons

Paul Weller

The Wombats

We Are Scientists

The Subways

The Vaccines

Hard-Fi

Viva Brother

NME

Avenged Sevenfold

The Gaslight Anthem

Sunday

Main

Foo Fighters

Biffy Clyro

Motorhead

The Hives

Dropkick Murphys (co-headline Lock Up later)

Madina Lake

Mastodon

Hundred Reasons

Twin Atlantic

NME

Chase and Status

Glasvegas

Maybe a bit strong on the NME headliners, but I like it :D

I agree mate and don't disagree with you. I understood that's what you was refeering to just didn't comment too much onit. I think there's a pettern than runs with most bands to stardom as everyone generally progressed naturally if they are going to in one way or another. I also think Twin Atlantic sound very early Biffy like so them 3 on same day would be great. I like Muse, used to like KOl but they've disappeared up own arses now IMO.

I don't think Biffy will headline in 13, i know its two years separate but still the next one on. I think it'll be a good chance of the one after. Arcade Fire, Lady GaGa is still my thoughts, Macca or Daft Punk would be nice as a 3rd but I see Daft Punk as other stage?

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
