yeah i think he is. has played WHP, fabric, wax on, chibuku - the bigger nights across the UK.

the fact its the friday and i know that the guys from bugged out book that day on the west dance makes me think he will be there. (He played field day last year) Downlow would be epic tho, i'd be there early!

re parklife, if dance village / late night areas get half of that line up between them it will be a good festival

the line up for Parklife here in Manchester was released today. it's a fortnight before Glastonbury, it's dance heavy and i'd be surprised not to see most of those names in the Dance Village somewhere.

do people still bother? I used to be well into the techno and breaks scene in the midlands from the late 90s to about 2006, quite involved with atomic jam and firefly particularly, anyway it seems like it has a short shelf life with revolving names

also its strongly related to drug culture, which as you grow older and get a career , a mortgage, a cat necking pills and coke all the time just isnt practical

A bit off topic (but talking of dance) looks like for the first time Tiesto has done really well with his 'Come on' song featuring Busta Rhymes in the charts (13). Suprised because I think it is a terrible remix of the orginal tune- even the orginal is poor by Tiesto's usual standards. There is no chance of him playing either because he is exclusive to Creamfields this year (unlikely anyway)

Simon Posford as Hallucinogen would be wonderful, Venetian Snares would be unbelievably good. Caught him in Manchester recently and he smashed the place apart.

Going back to Guetta, for ages I knew the man behind his harder stuff is/was Joachim Garraud. But never looked into him as an artist himself until yesterday! From what I saw I'm really impressed and would love to see him make an appearance this year.

In a way similar to Deadmau5 he also controls his visuals but he uses a keytar.

And he looks to have a loyal following who dress up with alien masks which would look quite trippy in somewhere like Arcadia!

Also saw a Youtube video of him using a Cdj as a synth using small loops and pitch bending. Awesome stuff!!

Joachim pretty much "made" Guetta - was his engineer for years.

He's huge in France and DJ's worldwide, but never quite broken into the A-list (although he does very well !)

I didn't really have time to check much of the dance stuff last year, other than Beardyman. We headed into Shangri La after hours.
