Agree on the anyone from radio 1 and tuborg.

Wearing absolutely any clothing or shoes that you care about in the slightest. My mate insisted on bringing these jeans last year that were only about a month old.

Not just a Glasto tip but one for most large venue gigs and that's getting too close to the rail. You just get crushed and can't move, which for me is no fun when listening to live music, I need to jump/dance/move in some way.

I don't think all of the portabogs are that bad. I don't like the ones with the flushy handle, but the ones that just go straight in without the pan between the seat and the mess (so like longdrop style tardis bogs) are alright!

Toilets...yum!

Isn't that the point of music we all cant like te same or life will be wery boring. We need diversity that is the point of having other stages. Imagine how boring it would be with only the same music on all the stages.

Overplanning. I usually give myself a couple of must-sees before I go, but once I'm there I just go with the flow and often forget the must-sees anyway.

Also, don't follow the crowd if you want to do something else, there's nothing worse than tagging along to something you're not interested in, or hanging around waiting for everyone else when you just want to go go go! I love going for a solo wander, then I can stop whenever I feel like it, change direction if something catches my eyes and sometimes you get chatting to some really interesting people who you'd have walked past if you were with your mates.

I disagree with this. I watched 'When You're Strange' last year and it was a great atmosphere in there with people cheering and laughing and having a good time. You don't get that when you're watching a film at home, much like it won't be the same listening to a CD and watching a band live.

Agreed you shouldn't spend the whole weekend there, but definitley try and make time for one or two films.

tbh i try to avoid stone circle late at night these days...there's a nice vibe there during the day and into the evening for sure...but later on it seems to just be a hang out for amateur pill heads and kids flogging aspirins....much nicer next door in flag field.... ;)

One thing I would avoid is drinking like a madman on the Wednesday evening, eating a huge Burrito with extra Jalapenos, washing it down with organic mead, Burrowhill and a random stranger's bottle of paint-stripper strong vodka and coke. I did that in 2009 and ended up with the shits for 3 days as a result, which at Glastonbury has a whole new dimension of unpleasantness.

Funny story. I went to the chemists on site when it was clear I needed some sort of medication (or a cork ramming up my arse) and asked the guy "do you have any Diacalm or something similar", he replies"you kidding? This is Glastonbury, we've got f**king boxes of the stuff."

Clearly not just me then! Probably all that traditional flat cider. They don't call it the sour apple quick step for nothing.
