Any bands you regret seeing?

I know that if HE wasn't enjoying it HE would have said so. I stayed because I didn't want to be a spoilt brat - he often tags along to something I recommend. I wouldn't do it again though - it wasn't so much the putting up with Bruce itself, but how it left me feeling. I was tired to the point of tears, not only on Saturday night but most of the next day. I wouldn't do that to myself again.

It's funny how you could apparently use up loads more energy leaping about at something you love, and yet it leave you no where near as tired. Standing through 2 hours of that just seriously upset me! I wouldn't do it again - i would go somewhere else - and that's the sense in which I really REGRET this one, as per the thread title, rather than just not enjoying it, or thinking somewhere else would have been better - seriously regret it - I stuck with it when i shouldn't have done, and it honestly wrecked half the weekend in a way i wouldn't have believed possible.

I always remember being on my feet as a steward at Phoenix for 18 out of 24 hours due to a shift mix up - and then going to the staff tent for food before supposedly having MY time to enjoy the festival before my next shift. I sat there with my back aching, and my feet throbbing like a Tom & Jerry cartoon, with the sound of The Manic Street Preachers drifting over from the main stage, and I hated them so much at that moment. It is now a standing joke amongst everyone I know - they will just love to look to see the expression that lands on my face at the merest mention of them! Anyway - I now have that same feeling for Bruce - he is dead to me.

Gorillaz again, I was pretty sad that I wasn't seeing U2 and as much as I love Damon in Blur, that Gorillaz set just seemed like a pile of over-indulgent shite

On the upside I did leave halfway through to see Fatboy Slim instead who was brilliant

I've never had a regret at Glasto because generally if someone disappoints you can move on to somone else. I do wish now that I'd seen Ray Davies in the Acoustic in 09. I can't remember who I'd opted for instead at the time but at least I caught his Choral performance this year and loved it.

The only real regrets in many years of music going have been at gigs rather than Glasto; particularly seeing Peter Green in his present sad state and remembering what he used to be like. I also went to see Mick Taylor a couple of years ago and it was the only gig I've ever walking out of he was so tedious.

The national was my second favorite set last year behind flaming lips. I can see why people who don't know there stuff wouldn't like them live though. I'm a massive fan though, going to see them on Monday night

Seeing Biffy's secret slot on the Park stage instead of Shakira on the Pyramid... Random but true, biffy are not as good as they used to be live and the new material, and i wouldve caught them at reading which i did anyway, feels like i missed out on some eye candy and a fun time!

I regret seeing whoever it was that made be miss Arthur Lee and Love a few years back. Hindsight's a wonderful thing.

I don't regret seeing Neil Young whatsoever, but I wish it hadn't clashed with Ray Davies. But, I do regret not going last year and missing Ray again!

I had the same dilema in 09 and like you chose Neil Young. Was the best decision of my life,that set will stay with me for ever. You made a massive balls up not seeing Ray this year though. Waterloo Sunset, Thank you for the Days and Suny Afternoon on a baking hot sunday was my highlight of last year.

kind of regret seeing gorillaz. i don't even like them that much but was expecting them to be good live.

they were awful, complete waste of time. i left after about half an hour and went to see flaming lips, who were amazing.

Not sure if it counts, but I most regret going to the footie instead of watching Ray Davies and Slash last year. Also wish I'd watched all of Muse instead of going or a meander and trying to beat the rush for the Arcadia show (which ended up being cancelled due to a power cut) :angry:

For me it was The Gorillaz, I fell for all the hype that was going round about them and the worst part was there was so much good stuff on at the same time. AARRGGGGG!!!!!!!

But it was my fault I should have left, I just kept waiting for the good stuff to start then it was over
