maybe theyre a bit too big for the other stage, but they're probably not quite big enough to headline the pyramid. As incredible as it would be to see them on the pyramid stage, i don't think it would happen. Even second headliners would be a no no because it wouldn't be dark.

I think if anything it'd be the other stage definitely

Whatever stage Pyramid or Other, it would just be awesome to see them play, when they drop Da Funk I would be all over the place a bit like I am when Leftfield drop Phat Planet. It is hard to believe that Da Funk one of my favourite tracks of all time was released back in 1995.

There is always calls for them to play from these boards, but this is the first time for a good number of years that it seems that it could really happen.

They are the one band that could possibly top Orbital for me

My favourite daft punk track right here, with the party scene in the video featuring none other than

DJ Sneak, Roger S, Derrick Carter, Roy Davis Jr, Paul Johnson, and Robert Armani! :D

I would be happy just to see this bad boy played live..

Brings back some great memories of seeing them live at Leeds Town and Country whilst enjoying some freshly harvested mushrooms we had picked from the golf course earlier in the day!

I also vaguely remember seeing a very early daft punk at back to basics in Leeds in around 1995 I think, which was awesome! :)

daft punk seem hugely popular on these forums...is it just 10 people who shout about them or is it really everyone? I for one couldn't be arsed. No proper new material since 2006 and nothing planned in the future apart from this soundtrack thing...heard a few tracks the other day and thought they sounded dated amongst other exciting new dance artists today..i admit though there do have a back catolgue to be proud of..If they are genuinely very popular with the glasto crowd and not just here then they are very welcome, but i do feel that you are all maybe overestimating there massiveness..? i might just be out of touch now so hope i'm wrong!

keep dreaming. glasto could never afford them. they would do their own shows and some commercial festivals.

if you'd seen daft punk live you would have no doubt of their ability to headline any stage in the entire world. their back catalogue is stunning. Seek out alive 2007, press play, enjoy.

better light show than any guitar band could ever put on too.

i'd also bet good money they don't tour in 2011. i do think they will tour one more time () before they call it quits, but it wont be next year.

saw them headline at leeds o2 festival a few years back they were fantastic. the light/stage show was out of this world especially when the tron suites came on.so they would be great at glasto.

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
