Another poor run, for the love of God!

A ray of hope, this was JACKONE's forecast from a year ago today, and we know how that turned out. All time to change folks..

"So the pattern continuing from yesterday and no reason to change the higher than average chance of a wet festival, however nothing is set in stone and the transition to unsettled weather from the High Pressure next weekend, looks messy synopticall and the Pressure ensemble looks more promising than any of today's operational runs."

Seeing as the latest run shows that the high pressure over Greenland is disappearing can we perhaps hope the next runs we get to be more positive?

Or can we still get rubbish weather if without high pressure over it?

When I was onroute to Boston, there was an American couple in front of me on the plane, who where looking out of the window, the Air Hostess passed, they asked what country was it they could see Air Hostess replies Greenland, I beleive I'll check for you, air hostess then dissapears, American Couple start saying sounds about right it doesn't look nice, wouldn't like to live there etc. Air hostess then returns informs them it is in actual fact New foundland, The Americans then shut up and I bust out laughing

I think you may of had to be there, but it was funny!!!

Since then I've liked Greenland, until this high has got in the way

We can still get rubbish weather without the Greenland high.

It was shown breaking down on the 06z yesterday, only to reappear in the other runs. The main thing is that it's not nailed on - it can break down.

The other thing is that we're using the NFRNFC scale which looks bad because everything from wet mist to torrential downpour = fail. We're very much at the occasional shower end of the spectrum. Obviously still shite, but more along the lines of the small shite left in the toilet by the attractive lady before you, rather than falling in a longdrop shite.

Right, desparate times call for desparate measures folks.

Forget the Bavarian barmaids for now, we badly need this obscure, little known Austrian to take charge :

Well he had very good weather when the first invaded Russia ... and as for the winter following, who cares, it's only a crap historical analogy anyway, posted for unGerman 'humour' purposes

No war crimes were committed or Geneva Conventions broken in the creation of this post. Only crimes of bad taste!

    • Molotovs are a strong support act. Shame the Manchester choice is Vic Warehouse but at least I'll want to get there early for the support anyway - my biggest issue there is moving around.
    • Gutted I got nowhere near Phoebe B tickets, also I never received my confirmation email for the pre sale, so was at a big disadvantage.    Muse though, Co-Op is exactly what I wanted so can't wait for that
    • If anyone spots any new tour posters on site could they share them please? Hoping for ADTR and Electric Callboy tours
    • It completely depends on how that count is done   if it’s individuals entering the arena each day, over the whole weekend, it was at 30% capacity and in no way one of the highest attended festivals in the UK   it was in no way as low as 30% though so that can’t be the measure, so as a number, with no context, “90,000” is meaningless.   Only one category of Leeds ticket seems to have moved on to second tier pricing at this point. I don’t think this is necessarily a sales indicator as much as a method to keep prices up north lower than down south but with this and the anecdotal video evidence, it’s clear Leeds has been nowhere near its capacity (of 90,000/ day) the last 2-3 years
