Everybody Loves the Sunshine B)

We evolved in the sunshine and to this day the majority of the human race lives in the tropics and sub tropics. I understand that a few people from northern latitudes have genuine medical issues that mean they struggle in the heat, but most people who are whinging here about last year suffered no actual, tangible, temporary or permanent medical side affects of the heat, they just felt a bit tired, uncomfortable or sweaty for a couple of hours mid-afternoon - just stick your head under a tap or something. I genuinely sympathise with you if you struggle with moderte heat like last year, but do remember, it was so, so pleasant for the vast majority of us to experience after so many years of rain and cool.

Aaaaaand I'm returning to the weather thread for another year. Hello all! This thread seems to be my Glastonbury warmup these days... I barely check the lineup anymore, but the weather thread on Efestivals is mandatory!

Temperatures are peaking here in Bristol 26 degrees and rising with wall to wall sun..

Sales of barbecue equipment is on the rise, girls are showcasing their summer outfits, al fresco drinking spots are fully crowded and the chilled cider is flowing - looks like summer is upon us.

Lets push things forward and keep the faith! :):)

    • Morocco are a good side, know what it takes in tournaments. Semi final last world cup, AFCON winners (kind off). No one should under estimate Morocco, I think they will win the group and get to the quarters minimum.
    • Came to the same decision after age 40. I'm lucky enough now to be able to manage on only 4 days work, in a job that does not expect me to do more than my contracted hours.
    • Looking like it will be beautiful weather at the end of June. Long hot summer predicted by various places including our favourite netweather nerds. Let's hope we get a repeat this time next year. 🌞
    • Just finished Spider Noir which was far better than I expected it was going to be. Nic Cage clearly having a ball chewing up the scenery and the most Irish Brendon Gleeson you have ever seen. Watch in authentic black and white only for the best experience.
    • After realising that I couldn't remember how season 4 ended I decided to rewatch the whole lot. I stopped after 4 episodes of S4 to watch Gen V season 1 as there is quite a bit of crossover then finished S4 before Gen V Season 2. Finished off with S5 of The Boys and I was a little disappointed. I still enjoyed it and they did well to wrap everything up but the inexplicable lack of budget for the final season really stood out for me.
